China just announced stealth fighter J-20, it is the third of the kind after F-22 and F-35, looks not really a totally copied one of the first 2. but the cockpit looks very much the same as the one on board of F-35.

Just saw this on facebook. What’s the Chinese word for “Fugly”? 😄

(I'm not currently active with ViperDrivers, but these guys are the best BMS school out there!)

People say history repeats itself. I say topics REPEAT themselves.
Dodofun, think about the consequences and requirements of implementing a real 5th Gen Fighter in a simulator: Aero/Avionics/RADAR/RCS data not available, AI must be updated (huge work) to counteract correctly an stealth opponent, AD must be updated with info (NA?) to model engagement of stealth fighters,… and the list goes on. It is not just put a 3D model together, paint the skins you can see in the chinese internet and done.

Same sort of selective history the PRC like to use 🙂

I look at the second to last one and think: “Now there’s a cockpit even I could build” 😉

Its like F-22 with F-35 cockpit, Typhoon looking engine nozzles and Typhoon looking ducky things (guess what i mean) 😛

And i hate full touchscreen cockpits. MFD with OSB are better, on touchscreen its easy to click a wrong thing, even when you sit on a chair in your room, now imagine sitting in a fighter during turbulences.
I have touchscreen for BMS and i sometimes misclick something.
OSBs and physical switches can be operated even when you dont looking at them, just remember its position. You always feel a button under your finger.

There is stealth technology in BMS
But as it’s stealth, you can’t encounter them but they are there …

maybe need some extra effort to build a more sophisticated RCS detection model, sure BMS has a long way to go.

it will be much easier to home build a cockpit now, what you need is a big touch screen rather than expensive MFD with OSB and no gauges either.
doesn’t someone say the typhoon ducky thing is not good for stealth and it is best fit for the enemys?
