      Hi there

just to be sure, I tried with Ice and Rogue Helios profiles (thanks to them it’s awesome work), I achieved to use Helios to interact with BMS but in the other way, it does’nt work.

I explain : when I click in 3D cockpit on laser arm, it doesn’t move the switch in helios on second screen. WHen I move it in Helios it changes it in 3D view.

      Is that normal ?

      Thanks

Yes that’s normal. There is no sync from Bms to Helios. Only thing happening is, when activating something in Helios, is triggering the mapped bms keystrokes so it sends the command to bms.

ok thanks for your answer, the only way is to rampstart and use only helios for having something sync 😞

          thanks

No, you can make several Helios profiles to have the switches in sync with the way you start in BMS.
I have a ramp start profile and a commit to taxi profile.

ok that’s an excellent idea I will do that !

              2 last question :

1-how to hide a button by default ? I tried with the “eye” on layer panel but it comes back.
2-how to change the default position of button ?

              thanks

The eye is just to show/hide in edit mode.
To hide something by default you need to set it somewhere in the panel configuration. Don’t know it by heart and my game pc is not available here at the moment to actually check. Edit an existing profile from Ice for example and you’ll see the settings needed on the console panels.
Default position of a switch is set on the switch properties. It’s all pretty straight forward if you take a look at it for an hour or 2.

In editor click the button you want to auto hide.
On the right side just below the position values is a checkbex „hidden“.
That‘s the setting you need to activate.

Default postion for a button os a little bit tricky. Currently not on my PC, but I assume, you „just“ need to inverse the logic with an LUA-1liner. Maybe there is another way wich does not come into my mind.

Default position of swicthes and rotaries can be set on the right side as well.

Maybe meanwhile you can describe which button/switch you‘d like to configure or can describe what you want to achive. It‘ll help understanding what you are aiming for.

ok… sniped due to slow typing.
                      Glad you figured it out.

                        thanks aniway 🙂

some actions are going from BMS to Helios, but not for buttons.

                        that’s awesome anyway !

things that are available in BMS shared memory are indeed picked up by Helios. That’s only for output (altimeter setting, indicator lights etc), not input (switches & buttons).
