Home Pit DED and FFI Using Arduino
-
Hello all!
Just wanted to share a short video with my accomplishments this week.
After a whole month of trial and error, I am finally able to extract the DED and the FFI for my Home Cockpit project to external screens.
Here’s a short video.

No problem

Nice job ! I have an Arduino that isn’t in use If you care to share part lists and the “sketch” I was considering using it to drive some leds and take inputs from switches

Well done, Pikachu!

Well done Pika!
In the video, i noticed that the Helios touch panel FFL hundreds increments in the opposite direction than the hardware one.While im good with electronic hardware, I dont know how to program Arduinos, so id probably just buy it from AIC (Vipercore)

Hi.
Great work!.
For DCS World, somebody created a great library for Arduino, and the project is still active. Do you know if we have something similar for BMS?

Well done!!

@pikachu
I have the same ded and fuel flow.
How did you get this to work with bms… any help with this would be great. Thanks -
This is really cool. I’m starting my own pit project so any links or pointers to open source examples with Arduinos would be appreciated.

Well done Pika!
I’m also running Deduino for DED, FFI and PFD.
Have you experienced some strange behaviour between screens like this one in the video below?
Sometimes happens to me and I don’t know the cause. Displays gets back to work properly by themself after a while or after few seconds but sometimes it happens very ofthen during a campaign flight -
Hi Pitbuilder,
maybe you can check the BMSAIT Project from my Squadmate Hummer
https://github.com/HummerX/BMSAIT-ProjectFalcon BMS to Arduino Interface Tool
BMSAIT ist an interface tool for cockpit builders. It allows to relay output data from the shared memory of Falcon BMS to output devices like LED, LCD, Servo motors and many others. BMSAIT also allows to register input commands from digital and analog sources like switches, encoders and potentiometers to simulate keyboard and joystick commands that will be send to Falcon BMS.
In order to establish a data transfer via BMSAIT a specific arduino sketch needs to be customized and loaded on an arduino compatible board. A windows app will orchestrate the communication between the arduino boards and the flight simulation.

@blackgio
Sometimes this happened on my screens, too.
It seems, that for some unknown reason the DED will show the data of the FFI sometimes.Since the problem occured, I did the following solution:
FFI got one single Arduino-card, DED and PFD got another single Ardunino-card.Unfortionally that means you have to run also the connector-App twice.
Maybe my solution helps.

Hi Lemmi, sounds interesting. At the moment I have no more room for USB devices… let’s see in the future when a PC upgrade will be necessary for me. Unfortunally also Uriba worked on that years ago and I think he is not working on that anymore, it could be solved from him maybe…
Thankyou for your feedback!

@viper Any chance of getting the documentation in English?

@pjrebordao
Maybe Hummer is working on it.
