Does anyone know how to edit the Tac Reference in BMS or what tools could be used? I tried Skyfire’s Tac Reference editor .2 which is pretty old and I wasn’t sure if was going to work. It didn’t. I used the TacRefdat.bin file from OF 4.5 to open it so I wasn’t sure if it would work. It didn’t. Anyone have any ideas?

It is working just fine here… I have only changed about 200-300 records with new I’ve created using newer and better references. 😉

Can you please tell me how to edit it then? I used the old one TACREFDB.bin file from OF4.5 and put it in the …/bin/x86 folder in BMS 4.32 and it did not make the edits to the Tac Ref.

Ok I’ll have to keep playing with it cuz I’m trying to remove unnecessary munitions like the Aim-4c, d, and g or change them to the CATM-9M, CATM-9X, CATM-120B, and CATM-120C. When I tried deleting them I checked the tac reference in the UI and they were still there. Is there a specific place I have to put the TacRefDB.bin file or no? I’m using Skyfire’s Tactical Reference Editing tool .2 also.

I got it. I didn’t realize the tacrefdb.bin file was in the objects folder.

It’s not, it’s in the Terrdata folder. 😄
