After mission - never arrived

Hi…i am flying mission where i have to attack Sa-2 site, and checking my mission planner waypoint is placed directly over enemy sa-2.Naturally when i am flying i unleashed my agms from safe distance, and didnt overflly waypoint…After landing i see that i scored hits, but in mission results it says “never arrived” - so it looks like mission isnt succesfull…How can i avoid that?

Not arriving does not cause the mission to fail, as long as you meet the mission goals. I flew a DEAD mission and the target was an SA6 Air Defense battalion. Me and my wingman wiped it of the map. After landing the mission showed succes and rated excellent although it also showed “never arrived”

Yeap never arrived means you didn’t came close to the stpt by x miles. Sorry can’t recall the actual distance.
So since this rule is not met cause u fired xx miles away , done the job and returned back, it’s reported as never arrived.
Not a big deal, what’s said already is what it counts, the mission task is completed successfully.
Simulator is a computer, understands what is programmed to and numbers.
Reads numbers shows numbers calculates numbers.

i think it’s within 10 NM of the target stpts for the mission type. I also think it has something to do with time, but I’m often wrong.
