        MoretSil, Im very familiar with the IVC as I do human AWACS for the 56th. Im horrible at explaining things on paper. If I could meet up with you on teamspeak or something like that I know I can answer any question you have about the IVC as I often use it and change freq with it. These are the settings I use when I am performing the AWACS role.

        See chapter 14.5 of the BMS manual for detailed explanation of available options.

        File to be saved in //localinstall/bin/x86/IVC/

        duplex = 1
        server = (host Server IP address)
        connect = 1
        #nickname = Callsign
        #port = xxxx
        key-hook = 1
        #quick = 0
        #word = password
        #capture = sound_device
        nofx = 1
        #playback = sound_device
        tone = 1
        loudness = 1
        fuzz = 1
        hum-level = -18
        hiss-level = -18
        toneVol = +6
        uhf = 307300
        vhf = 138050
        uhfVol = 6
        vhfVol = 6
        outsiders = All
        #log = 0
        #minimize = 0
        force-local = 1
        #selfblock = 0

        To understand what each line does specifically you will need to reference the manual. When the IVC.ini is set like as above, once connected all you have to do to change the comms freq is type the 6 digit freq you wish to talk on (proper corresponding UHF or VHF channel) and then press the change freq button and give it a second. There will be no visual indication that the freq has changed, Just give it a sec to change the freq you entered and you should be able to communicate on the freq you changed to.

            no it will not always say 3073 and 1234. once you change the freq you should see the freq you input as you have to input whatever freq you want to change to.

              For game-controlled falcon bms.cfg values (e.g. set g_nF1TeamUiFreq 307300) are in effect. The IVC Client.ini values are for non-game-controlled.

              Example: IVC Client run without Falcon control and IVC Client.ini with no uhf value assigned UHF Freq field is blank. Try again with uhf=12345 and IVC Client initializes with UHF Freq: 12345. Connect to server and it can be seen briefly IVC Client initializes to .ini settting 12345 but is very quickly assigned to 307300 by Falcon.

                Steps to setting up IVC

                1. Set up IVC.ini file and save desired changes made.
                2. Start BMS and connect to the host server. Once you connect the IVC should start up automatically.
                3. Now if you desire to be able to change freq on the fly you CAN NOT be in 3d. You can only achieve this while in the 2d screen. It is also advisable to have BMS in windowed mode. Once in 2d you can now change the freq via the IVC. For example……lets say UHF is already preset in the IVC to 307300 and you want to change it to the freq of 243000. You simply click the mouse cursor inside the UHF freq box and clear out the old freq and type in the new freq of 243000 (has to be 6 characters or will not work) then press the change freq button and wait a quick second. You should now be able to communicate on the UHF freq of 243.

                Note that if you aren’t playing as awacs then whatever freq you set up in the IVC.ini file is the freq you will be stuck with as you cant change freqs once in 3d. You should also note that the IVC.ini file I pasted as an example above is for perfroming the awacs role. Performing the awacs role is the only way to bounce around on different freqs via the ivc control panel.

                Its a hard one to explain as there are many variables depending on what exactly it is you want to achieve.
