WIP - Taiwan Theatre

Toonces=Tom Clancy’s successor.
PS: Howdy Stef…:drink:Tom
IF I wasn’t interested and engaged in helping the FF team fellows/devs, I would hunt some big waves for you like in 2009 with Dempster lol…Good Luck mate.

Those CHICOMs have a nasty tendency to cause collisions and blame the other guy. I can’t wait to teach them a lesson!
-
LOL. Thanks, Stef. Those were fun days back then.
The cliche’s are making my eyes bleed, though.

Where is the Taipei 101?
-
@611-eagle:
Where is the Taipei 101?
it should be in south-east taipei in RL, you did that for falcon?
-
Yes ;).
-
Great job … Canister but you can do more … :)))))
-
@611-eagle:
Yes ;).
I was planning to get taipei-taiuan as photorealistic, that would be a nice thing to add!

I tried this in BMS, and it works. Only some work on the hardpoints, I use it instead of the F16-15 model

As the IL-mod freak I am, I stumbled over a WIP (not yet populated) yet stunning old Formosa aka Taiwan WWII map.
IMO great inspiration for terrain work, I added blue water instead the default green one and porked the forest/jungle lol.
Other than that I had to think of this theatre for Falcon and it was quite fun flying with an Avon Sabre over the same areas I used to hunt longer ago for Stef and Demer.
Here’s a little folder with shots, very basic and the author-agracier-did not finish it yet due to other duties…just enjoy or delete…
I try to get a hold of the final version…

. . . as I said-this one was-is a WIP–and not my work, I only modified the water colour for my own use and accidently erased trhe woods lol.
Looks familiar, eh? (Minus the missing objects and the WWII flair of course.
Carry on. The real deal looks a big tad more tropical than here and the mountain area is just stunning. Worth a google flash, really a beauty of an island.!

you may want to check this SF2 mod too…

Hey gents, it’s “derStef” here…
you may know that me and my boys worked out a Taiwan Theater (v0.9) for FreeFalcon5.
At the moment we are converting it to BMS, a long hard road…
R:headb:best regards Stef
Hi Defstef,
Question:
Just reading post catching up on “Updates and Releases”, little confused, as to what is the plan and progress; can we be informed! With all the chatter in many threads and forums regarding theaters and campaigns does this mean BMS will get all FF5 theaters and campaings!
That would be an awesome move IMHO, I have said that ITO2 is nice and would look good in BMS4.32.
Theaters/Campaigns spoken about already in this forum:-
- Korea
- Taiwan
- Balkans
- Isreal
- Hawaii
- Aegean
- Libya
- Pakistan-India
- Panama
- Nevada
- Europe
- Middle East
Etc Etc Etc - Alot there already mentioned in various posts!
All with “FLARE”!
So, what is actually true and not true it all sounds awesome! What is fact and weeding out fiction!
For a newcomer and readers a little confusing trying to make sense of the plan and development progress of BMS4 Sim.
It would be easier for readers to just delete all the Theater/Campaign threads and actually just post facts, and clear direction of the development progress of BMS4.32!
In other words make it a “Sticky Only and Locked Thread” NO REPLIES, thats were it gets messy and off topic!
I still have the original release and waiting, in which I don’t mind waiting patiently for a genuine theater or general update to be posted, but currently don’t understand where everything is.
So can someone either PM me or clarify probably even clean this up a little!
Love what you guys are doing with BMS4.32! Da Best!
Glad to be a part of it even if I’m just a user!
My 2cents!
To benefit the readers!
Long live F4!
Regards,
TAGMAN

/OT what has that in common with taiwan? btw I think that I will not see FF5 ito2 in BMS, as most of the stuff is “under EULA” and then the conversion is not just as simple as you could imagine,
Flare if Im not wrong would be Korea only. That is due to the specific work that is made on the theater, some of he tiles are specific for OBJ and so on, and I don
t know if Giorgio would make it available for other theaters developers. -

I liked the mountain areas.
Actually the shots I posted where of an ancient version of that theatre, just got a newer one, closer to the video’s scenery,(no worries, no more shots:nosep:).
Carry on.

Really, Looking forward to seeing this done for BMS.

This new “autogen” feature is just about the exe - how the program handle vector areas in the texture bin file. It will be acessible for all the developers I guess. I hope I am not wrong….
BTW: what about to make the conifer type of forrest for one area type and leaved forest for another type (thin/thicks) -

Hi Stef,
I’m always interested in that theater .
As beta tester at least.
I still would like to resume my work on taiwan campaigns designed in order to be played online, as coop and PvP (http://tactical.nekromantix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=21588).
