Any voice control programs that don't use windows or other voice recognition?

are there any voice control programs that don’t use built in windows voice recognition or another generic recognizer like dragon?
it seems all the programs like VAC, shoot, glovepie, all rely on windows or some other generic voice recognition software for speech to text.
its mostly working but some words microsoft just doesn’t understand me and i don’t know how to train specific words. for example, i want the ICP number buttons programmed to voice but when i say ‘four’ it doesn’t get it at all and when i say ‘five’ it always thinks ‘nine’
i was thinking, if there was a program where you could enter the phrase, not as text but by speaking into the mic a few times, that would improve accuracy a lot.

did you train your build in speech recognizer? (control panel / speech recognition)
takes you 15 minutes and you should do it again sometimes.
start training the recognizer all over again if you buy a better microphone.
you can also backup your training result - in case of a complete reinstallation of windows.try and speak like a news speaker.

sure i did the training many times, but it still thinks i’m saying 9 when i say 5. there is no training for numbers in that thing. the problem is that training thing has generic sentences, it would be great if you could enter your own sentences like ‘tower request landing’ or whatever you want it to learn well.

I have some experience using voice activated programs and here are my tips:
- First of all: needless to say that you are free to use voice commands as you please. That being said, I think most people who are into BMS what they are looking for is max realism.
-I started developing profiles for shoot some time ago and in the beginning I had phrases to command sim actions like landing gear, padlock, master mode, etz.
In the end I disregarded that idea mainly because of two reasons:
- Most of theese commands were one-word phrases and speech recognition is more likely to make mistakes with really short phrases than with the longer ones.
- It was not realistic at all. In the end MY approach is: if IRL I have to touch something in the aircraft then I will not do it with my voice or hotas.
So that’s why I diverted my energies to build a ultra-cheap but functional home-cockpit in which I could touch the ICP numbers or the parking brake. That’s also the reason why my keyspeech profiles are “comms only”.
Disregard the 2nd and 3rd monitor and I bult the rest for less than 300€, including the two MFD screens. If you are into voice commands I recommend you try keyspeech with my profiles and try different levels of accuracy to are what suits you better.

Just tested GlovePIE for the first time on Windows 10 with a script I’ve done for Flight Simulator. I did not train the MS default voice service and all my commands, including numbers were recognized and read back correctly.
It probably helps that english is not my native language, hence no accent gets in the way.

Do any of these work with Dx? I want to use my comms on the throttle, but they are Dx. I know that keyspeech does recognize Dx, but I still cannot get it to work.

VoiceAttack works great for me.
-
I am willing to try Voice attack, but can it be activated with Direct X buttons?

Here is the link to the site: http://www.voiceattack.com/. Contact the developer at the link herein for a confirmation or not. He is also active on this forum, but I cannot remember his user name at the moment.

Use ICAO standards and say “niner” to map to nine. That should fix that.
