      Hi to all,

maybe somebody it´s haveing simular problems.

      Happens in 4.33 and 4.32

Everytime I fire up the SIM I have to setup my HOTAS ( Cougar )

      in the Controller page.

      such as Throttle

      Advanced Option: Flight Control

Rudder - Brake - Right Toebrake

Advanced Option: Avionics Control Cursor X - Cursor Y - Range Knob I click ok, followed by apply during the flight everything works great - restart Sim, all settings are are not saved and I redue the processes.

Any idea guys, why it is that way?

1: Are you unplugging your HOTAS in and the plugging it back in after adding or removing other USB devices? If so, you might be getting the USB device IDs switched around. That would describe the behavior you’re seeing. This happened to me when I ran BMS with an Xbox controller plugged in addition to my HOTAS.
2: Is your user keyfile read-only? If you made it read-only through the flag in the Properties window in Windows it wouldn’t save these changes. It’s located in the /user subdirectory of your BMS install.

Axes changing is from the joystick list changing. Start BMS and note the order of the joysticks in the dropdown menu. Set a test axis like rudder or throttle in the advanced section.

              Close and immediately restart BMS.

              1. Is the joystick list in the dropdown menu the same?
              2. Has the test axis remained bound?

Sounds a bit strange because if you are using HOTAS Cougar, as long as you choose it as the primary device (you must have or you can’t control pitch/roll…) DeviceDefaults.txt automatically setup whole axis setup and you are just ready to go even if you add/unplug any other DX device.

Anyway, always launching BMS same device numbers and orders keep settings.

BTW If you are setting up only via BMS UI and not using TARGET/FOXY or something, my new launcher might help.

BTW will it work for BMS 4.32 as well ?
