Hello! i’m new players here, i’m currently installing BMS 4.33 because i just saw this gameplay videos on youtube so i might give it a try, but now i’m facing some several issues: (BTW i’m using PS4 Controllers because i’m broke
)

how can i move the TGP Camera? the manual says that i have to press TMS UP to use it but i’m already set TMS UP into my PS4 controllers “D-PAD Up” buttons but how to move the camera? im already pressing my keyboards arrow keys to move the camera but nothing happens
-
and when i’m trying to play the Training missions from the BMS itself , i didn’t see any BMS training missions in the Tactical Engagements, is there something wrong with my BMS?
-
here is the weirdest ones, the game can’t detect all of my controller buttons, and when i’m going to change the buttons assignment some of it works but some of it didn’t, like when i’m going to change my “Throttle Forward” buttons into my controllers “R1” Buttons, when i’m click to change the button assignment the letters turns into blue, but when i’m pressing the “R1” buttons it doesn’t want to change instead it’s just giving me the “OSD Buttons 9” letter below the “Advance, Save, Load” buttons and when i’m tryng to repeat it, it does the same thing!!
can anybody tell me what’s the problem? or is it because im a rookies here, thank you

For training mission u must be in Korea theater. Where u select TE there is a tab saying training. If u don’t see it read the manual. It says where to find it. Also there is a dedicated manual for the training missions.

TMS up only stabilizes the view. Your designated 4-way cursor moves the view. TMS up again to lock.
Keep asking questions but also read manuals. It’s not arcade game.

I’ll go with the “rookie” reasoning.
Don’t let it get you down, the learning curve is steep, and that’s just for understanding the controls
Hats off to you for doing this with a PS4 controller, I think you’re the first one to do this.

Not sure BMS will be able to recognize all of the buttons on your controller. I’m using X-65 and I had to program many buttons through saiteks software because BMS would recognize them in the settings menu.

hahaha thank you about that, i’m still saving my money for buying Logitech Attack 3 i know it’s not the best one but at least that a starter point
now i’m facing another problem, after i’m configuring my buttons and saving it, it’s crashed on loading screen while i’m going to start the training mission :? is there something wrong again?

That Attack 3 looks very similar to the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro… have you taken a look at that one? Note that these sticks are nowhere near what you’d really want/need for this sim, but yes, it’s a starter point!! It should also be way better than using a PS4 controller! I started with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Falcon 4 Allied Force way back when…
As for your crashing issues, probably best to ignore that for now. Stop trying to setup the game for your gamepad as well. Using just the keyboard and mouse, see if you can get into the 3D world and have a few minutes of flying. Try the Landing TE for this. The idea is to just make sure your install works as it should. Don’t worry about the advanced controls or doing anything significant. Find out how to roll/pitch and how to control throttle — if your using the BMS-Basic .key file, it’s SHIFT+CONTROL+UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT for pitch, PERIOD and COMMA for rudder/yaw control, SHIFT+ALT+UP/DOWN for throttle control. Have a few minutes of flight and make sure your install does not crash… say about 5 minutes of flying, do this a couple of times to establish stability.
If your install is good, then slowly work on getting your controls mapped to your PS4 controller. If your install is broken, then obviously that issue takes priority
Good luck and welcome to BMS!
