Ins wont start aligning

hmmm, cant get my ins to start when I’m doing my ramp start.
this happened all of a sudden,now no matter what I do or which f16,
she wont start up.
do I need a reinstall or is their a file or something I can check.
everything else works fine, just ins wont align.
just sits there at 0 of 9.
now, my data cartridge got wiped out to, lucky I had a backup copy,
so that works again.
I did have a hard crash and now this problem.

It was a bug or tricky behavior previously. I’m not sure if it has continued to the latest version but I avoid it anyway since then. If the alignment knob was changed to alignment position before system power is applied then there would be an error with alignment.

Safe behavior is to keep alignment knob in original position until avionics systems power switches are turned on and green Data Entry Display text can be seen. This takes I think 10-20 seconds. Then if alignment is begun it should have no error.

It should not be the case (I think) that missing or corrupt callsign.ini should have any effect on alignment function.

ok,thanks for the reply.
I do turn on the power switches first,then the alignment knob.
but I do it one after the other. without hesitation.
I will try that tomorrow hopefully.
Funny though, I never had this problem before and I try to get in a flight or two weekly, at least the last couple months.
I’m wondering if win 10 didn’t sneak another update in, which might have caused the hard crash, which in turn didn’t screw up a file.
also if I click on the test page and clear everything,then click the ins button on the test page, it just lights up, click it again light out.
cant even get an error, weird as shit.recycling or restarting does nothing.

Now here’s the thing, it works in the training te,
Just not in the caimpaign.
Im only on day 1 at 2100 hrs.
Worked good till now.
I guess their must have been a hiccup somewhere.
Hmmm, maybe start a new campaign just to see if it works.

Shouldn’t make any difference. Get the power on, start engine, do EPU and sec checks etc. then start the alignment.

Well i couldnt get it to work.
I deleted the campaign.
Started a new one and everything fine.
