Do you realize that, in order to be able to download the executable, you need to have a torrent client program installed? Once you have one, when you click on the .torrent link, the download of the U4 executable should start automatically. It’s a small file, some 30 MB, so the DL time is typically quite short. You can then leave the torrent client file active for some time to ‘seed’ the downloaded U4, i.e. make it available to others.
I personally use and recommend qBittorrent, but there are also other client programs you can employ for the purpose. -

OzI’m confused…. how did you download Update 3? The .torrent file for Update 4 is a whopping 12KB in size so there should be no issues downloading THAT.

I don’t think op is confused by torrents; it sounds more like he has an issue with his torrent program.

Ah, I see…. maybe an issue with his torrent program or current internet connectivity… either way, difficult to help him without further info. If his torrent program cannot connect to the tracker, then usually just waiting a bit should resolve that issue assuming he can download anyway (ie, his IP is not blocking torrent or peer-to-peer traffic).

Funnily enough, I’m having torrent issues myself, that, or the BMS torrents aren’t popular enough, or leechers have enough seeders without me. My ports are open and can get in OK, but my upload is often <1Kbps

Are you following my instructions on this post?
Also need more info… which one is telling you the download may contain viruses? Your antivirus program or your torrent program? As for updating for a fee, sounds like someone’s just trying to scam you. Follow my instructions above and you should be set.

That’s because you’re using uTorrent and not qBitTorrent…. uT used to be great but its glory days are gone. Try qBitTorrent as recommended

Ice, thanks again for taking the time, I have tried qBitTorrent but it yielded a series of incomplete downloads. I think for now I will use what I have on my computer and read the manuals I have printed. Again I appreciate your time and assistance

My limited knowledge on the subject says you have downloaded the torrent files, but not actually opened them inside your torrent downloader - try right clicking and opening with

I linked you to a rather long thread… if you look at Post #36 and especially point #5, that should straighten you out
Also, I would recommend deleting uTorrent and setting qBitTorrent as your default torrent download program. -
Don’t know if this the right place to post. I’m trying to get U3 torrent to work. Is it possible no one is seeding it anymore?
