Setting Speed Brake Deployment and Ramp Start Time
-
Two questions:
1. Is there a way to set now much the speedbrake moves each time you press the key command.
2. Is there a way to set how much time before taxi you enter the cockpit in the RAMP entry mode (I know there is a way to set the same for entering in the Taxi mode)
Thanks !!! Kiko

I can’t answer 1 because I’ve always used HOTAS. For 2, add this at the bottom of your falcon bms file (in the user/config directory) and you can set it to whatever. I would not go below 14 or the system may start it for you.

1/ kinda. The speedbrake opens in 2s and closes in 6s in the F-16, provided you keep the “open speedbrake” or “close speedbrake” command pressed.
So if you press the “Open Speedbrake” command for 1s, you opened it 50%.
The “Toggle Speedbrake” command can either open speedbrakes completely (so acts as if you keep the “Open Speedbrake” depressed for 2s) or close speedbrakes completely (so same as if you keep the “close Speedbrake” command depressed for 6s).
For other aircrafts than the F-16, the length of Speedbrake opening/closing is defined in the ACDATA .dat files.
