TM MFD Issue
-
I bought a set of TM MFD’s two or three years ago……I’ve only just opened them and upon installation I note that one of them OSB 9 does not work - it lights up however, I cannot assign anything to it under controllers setup, all other buttons are working as expected.
Anyone experienced this? Do you know if it is fixable or should I just replace the whole unit?

I have the exact same problem! OSB 9 on my left MFD. (I mapped it to the bottom gain rocker switch above so it’s not too bad).
Wonder if it’s a Falcon BMS thing. Haven’t checked to see if the keypress gets registered in other apps.

I have a “dead” button on OSB 7 on my right MFD. Seems that it can’t be fixed, do not dare to take it apart - so I just learned to live with it.
-
Return it to TM?
-
I would but I’ve had them a few years…. I’ll either use tpn’s suggestion or just swap whenever I need to press osb 9.
-
Don’t you have a touchscreen setup anyway, ddoc?

You can only ask, bro. The worst they can do is say “no.”
I managed to get replacement parts for a 2nd-hand Cougar I bought previously and only had to spend a few £££ for it.

Yeah I’ll maybe give TM a try but going by past dealings with them, I don’t hold much hope, it took months to get a replacement pot for the tqs - I do have a touchscreen, it’s being used for the centre pedestal instruments currently, the mfd’s are sitting on top of 7" monitors - I’m currently trying to figure out how to connect LEDs into RAFI switches!
