Hi, I’m not sure this is the correct topic…
Some training missions start in flight, gbu mission for instance. I’d like to start them at ramp start but I can’t figure out how to do it. I don’t even know if it’s possible…
      Any advice?
      Thank you very much,
      Massimo

Hi there, yes its possible. MAke sure you see the take of time[TOT] in mission, if you started the mission late, then it will put you in the air. Hope this helped. Oh yeah also check your pm.

Hi tac, thanks for your answer. I am in the mission schedule of training mission 10 and in the upper right corner I can’t modify the day/time. I can only stop the time or let it go in the future, not in the past. Actually it’s 8.58 and the take off time in the flight plan is at 8.48…if I try to modify any steerpoint tos I get a warning that unable to do this: flight departed…I can’t even move steerpoint on the map…

You need to edit the mission with the te editor

How can you open a training mission in the te builder?
I can with saved mission but not with training missions. If I click on te builder with a training mission selected, the builder opens but it’s empty (no squadron, no package, no flight plan…)

You need to be under the SAVED tab, highlight the TE in the list, and press the EDIT button. The TE BUILDER button opens up a blank new TE and doesn’t edit any existing.

You’ll note that the training missions aren’t displayed in the list. What I did is go into \Data\Campaign\Save and make a copy of the training mission .trn as .tac so it would be editable. Then I named it something else .trn along with that same file name copy of the other few files associated with the original .trn. I guess that last step is only needed if you want it to show up on the training tab and have the same weather, setup script, data cartridge, etc. For just flying around the .trn/.tac is enough.

Rename the .trn to .tac, make you changes, then rename back.

                    Really? 🙂
Will try this tonight, thank you
