      Hello.
I just purchased a new ASUS laptop and it has a touch screen.

I wonder how can I use it on falcon? it works perfect on windows8.1 (rather precise and quick on the presses) however when I run FBMS nothing happens (in fact, the mouse disappears, goes to the bottom of the screen).

does anyone know how to get this working?

      thank you. cheers!

Jokes aside well those win8.1 have some new features for touch devices that maybe use different approach then like a mouse driver… So it might not work as u want, thought.

          Hi DonLduk

AFAIK It is not possible to use a touchscreen as a “direct” interfase in the 3D cockpit - if that is what you would like to accomplish? But I might be wrong. I have not fully tested it.

Initially I think your input (touches) will be interpreted as mouselook, so instead of pushing buttons you’ll be changing the POV. You might try disabling “mouselook” and use POV-hat on your stick or a headtracker for POV but still I’m not sure you’ll be able to push buttons in the pit.

If mouselook IS enabled (should be by default) - your POV should change if you press the screen (or make a swipe across it). Depending on your setup, you might have to press the left button on your mouse, while touching (or swiping). - This will just be to check wether your touches are registred in the Falcon 3D world at all. If nothing happens my guess will be, that it is a screen setup issue - and not a BMS thing.

I’m in no way a wizz on these things, but the above is just based on my own experiences with touchsceen and BMS.

I’m in the process of building a physical simpit, so I havn’t been doing any further digging, but I’ve been using Helios as an interfase - using the touchscreen as a secondary monitor, and that works great and is very versatile in regard to having all the panels available on one screen and having to use different setups for different sims/games if you so desire.

Good luck… and let’s know if you find a solution.
I guess it would be a nice feature if the 3D pit would be “directly accesable”

          Best regards

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I forgot to mention, for mouse look I have tracker. So really all I need is to translate the touch to a click in the 3D cockpit and thats nirvana.
