Cursor speed

Is there any way I can increase mouse cursor speed movement in 3d cockpit? It’s too slow for me!

run the launcher
goto configuration
Settings Avionics > Cursor Speed -
I already did it but speed increased only in menus not in the 3dpit

The setting Moort suggested was for the radar cursor. I assume you talk about the 3d cursor that is used to flip switches and push buttons right? In that case, you have a performance issue. Try to remove all the eye candies; heat blur, shaders e.t.c. These features demand too much CPU power.

maybe increasing the cursor speed in windows?

mouse speed in 3dpit seems related to fps
so…

I have a mouse with a switch that makes it twice as sensitive. It is correctly represented in the 3d world of BMS. You can change the settings in advanced controller options for mouse view sensitivity maybe? Or indeed increase mouse speed in windows. Try it first, before believing anyone, that’s my motto
Hickups in the movement of the mouse are indeed related to having not enough frames.

I got the same issues! For my part, my mouse is running at 5600 DPI which is the maximum of my R.A.T 7 but when im trying to go in 3D cockpit , it drop to like 1000 DPI wich is very too slow. I am flying on an Inspiron 1525 core 2 duo Laptop with built-in video card. When im using my touch pad in 3D , it goes a way faster than using my R.A.T 7 mouse… Could it be related with the mouse driver/program that cause some conflict between the hardware and BMS, or its only because i got trash as PC?

Maybe this has something to do with the sticky-key feature? Maybe the sim automatically slows down the mouse so it can make sure it will stick to the keys properly?

nope nothing like that
monitore your fps and post your results

I am having the same issue. Mouse movement in the 3D pit is way too slow and it has nothing to do with FPS performance. FRAPS reports constant 30fps+.
I have a low dpi mouse which I accelerate via Windows 7 mouse settings. It seems in the pit this acceleration is ignored and I can’t see any setting to set game-specific acceleration
EDIT: interestingly enough, while looking for a solution, I have come across this old review written on Falcon 4.0’s release which mentions the issue of slow mouse speed:
…in the heat of battle I doubt you’d go about clicking buttons rather than hitting them on the keyboard, especially since mouse sensitivity seems to be somewhat low.

I got it up to 200% and it still horrible.

Using the mouse in pit with low FPS (?20-ish) is difficult. Makes the mouse seem slow and hard to control.

Never experienced low fps mouse handling above 10fps. When in ground (ramp) I was from 15 - 25 specially bellow 20 when recording. No problems with mouse.
