Two questions, first when I assign buttons and hats etc to different functions the key that function is assigned to as default does not show that it is changed in the key listing. I can see just below the keylist data block that it is changed but not where it describes the button assigned to that function. Is this how the controller program was written? 2nd, I would like to use a modifier key to increase the amount of buttons I can use on my controllers but I can’t find how to assign a modifier key. By the way I prefer to use a button on my throttle as my modifier key I hope this is possible also. i hope someone can answer these two question thanks in advance.

What you are doing there is assigning functions directly to the controller using its directX address.

This bypass the keyfile, however you can still use your stick software to map to keyboard press.

I used the assigning functions in the game if that is what you are talking about. I could not get the pinky button modifier to work and when I attempted to use the NWS switch it wouldn’t control the steering. I spent all day today trying to figure this out and I think I just don’t understand it enough to figure it out. So I also used kolbe keyfile program and at the end it says to add the copied file to the end of my key file. I’m not sure I understand that completely but when I added it to the end of the BMS keyfile and went into the game the controller setup for BMS controllers was blank and did not control anything. So there I have tried two different ways and neither of them worked for me. I am probably just missing a simple understanding of this and once I understand it will probably be easy peezy. I have no idea how to use the stick software to map the keys. I hope you can point me in a direction that I can understand.
