Have you seen this kind of HSD in BMS?
-
Hi guys,
I think I got this picture somewhere from this website, but I just wanted to know how the pilot was able to “write” or “display” words like “ENK”, “DEL”, “PAT”, “JUL” on his HSD. I realize that the dashed lines are Lines 1,2,3,4 and etc, and the round circle is a SAM radar. Can you only get those letters in multiplayer?
Thanks,
Joon

Oh nevermind…Its from WDP.

I thought it was from etch a sketch! lol

You can do this with renamed pre planned thread Points… Edit yout PPT.ini and you can make a lot of different Points in your HSD….
Names for Air Bases, Exit Points and so on…

Really important. For example, here for a FAC(A) mission with human XCAS (two different mission).
You can make PTT as label, without range. The capacity of the HSD in SOI to select each one at current steerpoint is really important in CAS. -
Oh Wow….I didn’t know I had that capacity.
BMS never seizes to amaze me!
Thanks guys!

You can remove range circles via the DED …. or, probably, via WDP.
(I mean the HSD range rings, not the ppt circles.)
-
In-flight selection of the HSD PPT circles is TMS aft with the cursor on the point.
I didn’t know you could select PPTs as current STPT in HSD. I always had to go through the ICP/DED and select the appropriate waypoint as a number.
-
same as you told, but with TMS up on PPT. If PPT is not declutter, it will select the PPT as current steerpoint.

DCS right on the main DED page.

Makes sense. That’s how you select HSD waypoint objects as steer.

Great info, but had no joy with implementation.
Have several ppt.ini 's, and I am modding the \Data\Campaign\SAVE file and testing in a TE. Format is “FLOT 0.0 FLOT” but doesn’t appear in game. What am I missing?
EDIT: Seems FLT 000.1 FLOT works. Cheers.

Use wdp, much more easy an powerful.
