Chaff and flare stopped working properly for any mode including instant action. Tried several options. Gave up, doing full uninstall using revo uninstaller and then reinstalling to version 7 again before I even load the sim on version 6.
Also, unchecking mouse zoom in, was able TO zoom in in cockpit. If I CHECKED (green box) mouse zoom in, in cockpit, mouse would NOT zoom in.

System is actually windows XP, 2gb ram, 3.02 ghz (not the farce system in my signature) nvidia 8xxxx card with 512
No anti virus running in background or other programs that would interfere with the simโ€ฆ.

Some of this seems very backwards and odd.

One last note. This forum is taking ages to load/refresh (yes, even with cache and cookies cleared).

Hi:) - did you set up your EWS-Programms right? This Programms can be found in your DTC and should be programmed correct.

But the easiest Way to test your Chaffs and Flares is to set the Mode-Selector on the Panel to Bypass. It will release one Chaff and one Flare, even with Programms, that are set to 0 Releases per Input. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I lost the Name of the Panel atm - But it is left of your Knee, below the Gear-Handle ๐Ÿ˜‰

          Hi back.
Data cartridge EWS? That shouldnโ€™t apply to instant action should it?

Reinstalled, same problem. I forgot to mention, the Chaff sort of works, it discharges 3 chaffs, 3 times in succession. Did before uninstall, and still does on reinstall.
          No flares at all.

            Ok thats weird.
Are you sure, you set a Flares in this Programm? If not, type in a Number and there you go ๐Ÿ˜‰

AFAIK The DTC is also a Factor in Instant Action. - Why it shouldnt.

I set it up in Data cartridge now and seems to work. Strange there is no option for data cartridge after commit button for instant action. Using the Keystrokes key map, and no matter whether I hit X or Z still get both chaff and flare now no matter which key I hit.

The mouse zoom deal is still azz backwards. Works when unchecked (no green box).

                Forum still slow loading.

The key W and Z are saying โ€œdrop chaffโ€ - โ€œdrop flaresโ€ in the keyfiles, but that is not what is done at all. They are actually doing the same thing : dropping a countermeasure program.

To know more about this : go to your install folder -> Docs -> Falcon BMS manuals -> BMS - Dash 1, then go to page 30 for a full review of the counter measure system.

In the real jet, the pilot use a hat on the stick, the CMS hat, to operate counter measures : look up page 50 and following, for the exact use of the CMS hat.

To set up your DTC, go in a Tactical Engagment and find the button on the right of the map. It will stay in use, even for Instant action and Dogfight module.
