Absolutely use it every flight. Would consider a mission abort if it failed when entering pit

If it gets scratched in future release, it would render with my small desktop pit as my half full pit useless. I would either stick with 4.33 or start selling my pit. No way I’m going to continu without it.

Despair not, there are BMS users that have never logged into the forums before… users that log in, but only infrequently to check if there is a new version… and users that refresh the ‘new posts’ button every 5 minutes.

Poll respondents and BMS users do not necessarily equal each other!

And; the poll has been up for… 12 hours now? So, yesterday evening in my time zone people were probably flying BMS instead of forum lurking. And at this time they should be at work (as should I). That said; not sure what I will do without external MFD/MFD extraction. It definitely would spoil a lot of fun / immersion.

MFD extraction = much better, in particular for TGP detail. I don’t use the MFD-extraction function tools that come with BMS however, instead YAME64’s 3D hook function which has better FPS for me.

Who among the devs thought it was a good idea to drop something like that and not give any sort of explanation… It’s bound to create speculation and confusion until they reveal more.

The first thought that comes to many minds with the current phrasing and lack of context, as witnessed here, is obviously that you’re asking: “Do you guys really use MFD Extraction, or would it be okay if we removed it?

Hah, no… I think those who don’t use, don’t care. I think the others do, though. I didn’t really doubt the yes would win, for that simple reason yet. I’ll tell you, to be honest, what I really took from the poll: that I wouldn’t need to check the announcement forum every day until the 5th of December

I would say not dying, just in hibernation. I feel that the community is still growing…. lots of new members joining the Falcon Lounge and F4BMSReadyRoom on discord all the time… A lot of people have temporarily left to muck about with the “glitter of DCS” and are just desperately waiting for the BMS 4.34 drop and I know that the Falcon Online community are waiting for the network code to be right for mass online PVP again. Once that happens…. the numbers will be a lot more realistic. Hope the videos Lorik and I put up help to gain more interest and bring more in the future…

There are BMSers out here who just like to fly and keep quiet on the forums, be it this one or Discord for reasons only known to them. i watch the videos and say that Lorik, Code, Ripper, Max, and Krause, just to name few keep a lot of people interested in the MP side of the game. I see new people on Discord almost on a daily basis. If I had MFD’s I would vote yes. Unfortunately, I am not as tech savvy as others so they are not an option to me. I believe the dev’s when they say that they have no intention of removing them, just are they being used. The sky is not falling and if it does just firewall the throttle and climb above it!

lol - you would answer “yes” because you use MFD extraction, “any” being the operative word in the poll and OP.

Cannot believe the confusion or misunderstandings here - perhaps wordings have already been edited? Because a Poll is just a poll - Do people really view this as some official vote posted by a BMS developer on the removal of MFD extraction? I just tend to assume the BMS crowd is on average more attentive to details, being that we basically learn how to operate a real world fighter jet (minus the physical and mental stresses, of course). Rather surprised at some of the posts here to be honest, all due respect of course.

A poll is just a poll - fun to see the results, the span - the difference - the number of people who chose to participate. No need to go off on the specifics of a poll or whatever, that’s just another factor. It’s not rocket science, it’s just a poll; lawl

I voted no because I have no wish to use them because I feel it kills immersion… Virtual MFDs, physical MFDs in the same game… I prefer to feel like I am inside the game with 100% virtual stuff.

Cockpit builders - no matter how elaborate - use extraction; video gamers do not…that’s pretty much what it comes down to.
