How to open BMS in window format
-
That did the trick, thx Eagle-Eye.
PS … There was a post from a guy lately who faced the problem that he couldn’t start a TE after closing and restarting BMS. Btw … I have the same problem. This shortcut trick might be a good workaround for him, since you don’t have to close the app when running other programs. When anybody has a better solution fot this issue, he and I would appreciate it

Well after each mission, the accustomed thing to do is to restart BMS, for various reasons.

That worked but I lose my mouse cursor and the window is in a weird place I cant move it. I tried the extended display in the configurator but still no joy. . .

From BMS-Manual (in your \Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Docs\Falcon BMS Manuals folder) page 243:
set g_bCenterUI If enabled (1) the 2D UI in window mode (1024x768 ) will be centred horizontally and vertically on the desktop (for triplescreen users for instance). Available options: 0/1. Default = 0.

I have the UI centered but the actual gameplay screen is off to the lower right of my display and I am unable to move it or resize it.
Is there something I am missing?
Thanks

Try checking your “Cockpit Display Extraction” menu and ensure the monitor X,Y is set at 0,0

Anyone have tips on how I can Alt Tab between BMS and WDP as I’m finding the UI and mission planning screens too small to be useful.
I have a second monitor that I had used to have the WDP on that display and alt tab between the WDP screen and BMS on my main monitor but it wasn’t always successful

opening the extraction menu I don’t see an X or Y to set to zero; in main there is no such setting available; please advise.

roger if X and Y = left and top; now set at zero, resolution set at 1024x768, (-window added to exe) and game now starts top left then at commit presents middle of the screen small (6"? game window).
So…how do I get it bigger (something Cloud9 hears quite often)?!?!

Its full widescreen and looks poor. You have been great help and a friend for years Brother. I’ll continue to work on it. Hell I bought this rig just to fly Falcon BMS.

I thought the size was fixed at 1024x768 when doing it that way…I do that for use with WDP on another screen (as alt-tabbing can mess things up.) Love to be able to set it to be larger.
