I Love Falcon
-
Recently I picked up the old Falcon 4.0 original manual and the Official Strategy Guide written by Boomer and have rediscovered my long love affair with this sim.
Reinstalled 4.33 and some theaters like the excellent ITO.
Flew some campaign missions and reveled in the unscripted dynamic environment once again. Also using Voice Attack with Terminators wicked profile for comms which is nice.
Over the years, I recalled flying the 108i version, Razer, Free Falcon, Red Viper, Open Falcon (and the early service packs). Allied Force…well, I’d prefer to forget that one though I spent hundreds of hours in that with the 370th VFW.
Good times.
Also passed through a few VFWs over the last 18 years, starting with the 87th Straydogs circa 2001.
Dunno what 4.34 will bring to us but I look forward to it.
Having been in the online since the start circa 1999 on the infamous Delphi boards, Frugs Board, F4HQ, Global Falcon, I have always been active, occasionally obnoxious, irritating and banned, but still enthusiastic and around.
Well wishes and good health to everyone in our community.
And now, at the risk of being self-indulgent, whats follow (in no particular order) are a whack of pics I have accumulated over my Falcon years.
Enjoy (or not), my brothers.
Check Six.

And that’s exactly why I called you ‘Ole Timer’ recently. LOL.
The dynamic environment you mention is really what it’s all about. Yesterday I mentioned in a thread how it’s frustrating to
test inside Falcon. That’s just another way of saying it’s dynamicand really it’s good it’s so hard to test.
When the dynamic environment matters, I’m flying in my head, sorting tactics and my individual SA challenge for the moment.
I ain’t sweating no graphics when the best part of Falcon is happening.Nice pics brother.
