[Tactical Engagement] Sweep Training
-
Hi folks,
here’s a really simple TE you can use for sweep training (as the name cunningly implies :)).
It features an F-16 2-ship outbound from Santorin with 2 REDFOR flights of TuAF F-4E 2020s approaching from the East (TOS 0535 and 0605 respectively).
If you survive the first 4-ship attack then you’ll have ample time to practise some AAR using the KC-10 (“Camel1”) tracking north / south west of Santorin island, then proceeding to steerpoint 3 for the next wave of bogeys. Use those slammers sparingly und might just catch all of them
AWACS support is also available (Chalis1).
Make sure to turn on the winter scenery and you’ll see what the recent snowfalls have done to those lovely Aegean islands…

Installation:
Extract the files in the archive to your Add-On Aegean/Campaign folder as usual.
Have a good weekend & I hope you enjoy this TE!
Uwe
@Nikos, Starrats et al.: Feel free to include this TE with the next theater release should you find it useful.

Well done, Uwe!
Hhmmm… it’s some evil thinking time now. What about a little modification, with the bogey package attacking the tanker? And so on. This could be more fun even.
(Oh… please upload again that zipped file, just seems wouldn’t open)
(Not precisely true… this .zip will be opened with 7zip)Gianni.

Cheers.

Sure I could add another bogey package, but I don’t think you’ll be able to handle those with a single 2-ship flight of F-16s, sharing at most 6 AIM-120 between them.
-
Sure indeed this, Uwe, it’s the least I think… maybe it would be necessary to change a thing here and another one there
However, best compliments for this nice TE.

Hi folks,
just wondering why the F-4s are announced as “<key mike=”“>” by AWACS?
I seem to recall the F-4s have been correctly named before. The plane type in question is “F4-2020 TuAF” I think.
All the best & kalo savato kiriakio geia olloi!

Will check that….

Found the files to adjust in or link differently in sound folder.
Thanks for pointing it out, scorpion82.
I WAS barking up the wrong tree with only “specific” numbers and callsigns, etc.
