Weird Memory issue

Grretings all.

I have been playing 4.33 to the latest stable update.

This past summer I was playing the hard korean campaign; I was in day 3 when all of a sudden I started getting a weird memory error.

A blue rectangle appeared in the upper left quadrant of my 1st monitor (3 screen) saying that memory was running out. Shortly afterwards the sim crashes to the desktop. That happened 3x. The only thing I had changed in the sim was the scenery set to winter so I figured it was some weird error and moved on.

Playing now in the winter (same campaign) I get to day 3 around 8PM at night and bam… same error occurred twice tonight.

The error message in box reads (paraphrased) “Memory usage texture APX 14126MB free page file 13.5GB 100% 1GB free”

I did get a screen shot of the crash to desktop error box but not the rectangle within the sim in the upper left of the screen.

I am attaching the crash error screen shot with my phone.

I am playing on Windows 10 64 bit.

How do I change the size of my paging file? Shouldn’t it be LOW seeing how I have 16MB of RAM?

First u have 12gb of ram and not 16.
6x2gb.
Second your page file if it’s auto then it goes to expand like double your ram, when it doesn’t find space boom.
So your page file if it’s on c then here is your reason.
U could transfer it to another disk or transfer falcon to another disk.
Going lower than 50gb of disk space is somewhat trouble.
In my 60gb SSD I always keep 10-20gb free and cause of many theaters and bored of backup copy paste I went for an 120gb SSD.

Its a Tri Channel memory on the CPU not a 2 Channel so 12Gig is correct.

He really needs to move his OS onto the 128GB Samsung SSD 840 PRO.

I had that drive as my OS partition for many years & only just retired it last month. Great drive, a little outdated now but still His best option.
