So with this selected the aircraft is restricted (should be) to pulling 5 G’s but this isnt the case, at least not for me as i’m able to pull more and with a loadout other than A-A or with tanks, i’m gona over stress the airframe. Is this even implemented or is it just bugged?

          Heresy….

It is implemented, and correctly implemented.

CAT III is not a G limiter at all, it is not designed to avoid overstressing the airframe. It is supposed to reduce departure sensibility, which are more likely in case of heavy stores loading. This is why it is not a G limiter, but an AOA and roll rate limiter.

Right i see now so really its mainly just to limit AOA when ascending from take off with heavier than A-A without tanks loadout.

So seeing as it doesnt limit G, then i need to keep an eye on that myself, and the max for cat 3 is 5? in simple terms what exactly is the max G i should not go over with a strike or loadout with fuel tanks? and what are the consequences of going over that limit? damaged weapons? damaged gear?

5.6G will have the airframe groaning at you, and potential failures are usually FLCS related, weapons release disrupted, etc.

Max G limits in the real world get fairly complex, with each specific loadout having its own specific set of limits (and a big book that lists them).

In BMS this is pretty simple though. Wing tanks in BMS are not so durable as their IRL counterparts, so 5.5G will keep you safe from busting them.

Going over the limits will trigger faults seemingly at random.

… and more to come with the future version including possible hung stores and/or fuse fails (IIRC) 😉 One will have to carefully pay attention to the a/c’s limitations (G & airspeed) anytime. 🙂

I will welcome this with open arms, so long as the correct limitations are implemented. At current, there are BMS loadouts which will break at 6.0G, which are good to 8.0G in the real jet…
