Is only to Swap tiles from one place to another, for example, turning a plain into a forest.

turning a plain into a forest.
To change terrain type or create terrain areas within a tile, you have to use the Bin Editor. The “Open Bin Editor” button will get you there.

Simply want to change the tile for another one with same characteristics, from a rocky desert to a sand desert.
-
Have in mind that changing one tile in the bin will change it everywhere it’s shown.
So if you want to change it in one place only u must add that tile and not change it.
U can change then just the specific occurrence of the tile to the area u want.
Iirc u right click on the terrain on the tile u want to change and declare the new added one.Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

With Terrain Editor I’m getting Runtime Error 53, I tried to uninstall and reinstall, same problem. Any idea?

Did you update TE with the TE_Patch_3.6.7.zupd version file? How did you install, full procedure?
I’ve ran it now on win10 1809 and is still working, no compatibility mode , anything, oob run (didn’t use it for quite some time).
(if still can’t run. maybe, anybody, can zip it and send to some storage, it’s not big at all …23MB)In BIN editor you’ll see the counter tab far right, how many times tile was used , if not at all. …Take care with roads and rivers.

How I install that zupd file? Never encountered that extension before.

Got the Terrain Editor running, thanks guys!

Great!
Yeah that .zupd file is not common packed file, it is rather ‘his’ custom internal update, very easy to miss, but also very easy to apply update > icon/button in upper left corner of main screen, then just browse to it.
Anyway,
Have fun(i’ve spend days/weeks just repairing tiles, roads, rivers, bridges and links… and still I encounter some leftovers)
OH, VERY important, when you change everything and SAVE your L2 / bin /thr … whatever, in theater of choice you MUST DELETE those 5 files FROM YOUR THEATER, BMS will RECREATE them when ran
(I quote myself from Balkans theater) :Yes, those 5 files should be removed everytime you save l2 or after any changes in terrain editor,
another thing I suggest it’s to set ‘plains’ category when you create a new set so you save time if you’re editing an airport zone.

Terrain Editor will do it automatically if you have the option selected!!!

Is there a tutorial or something from the program? Cause I’m wondering If is possible to change more than tile at a time. Changing 1 tile using right mouse button it’s gonna take years.
-
U can select tile in “tile palette” and paint it useing left mouse button - just click, click, click…no need to use context menu
I dont know how big area u need to change. You are right, tile by tile is slow.
Try - Tools -> Replace blocks for bigger areas or global changes (you can allways export changed area and not save global result, then import area into unmoded terrain)

Meh … Now you tell me
Thank you…
Anyway batch is equally good as long you don’t have to do it every time one by one
