How to use nukes????
-
I seem to be unable to figure out how to employ nuclear weapons in BMS, and I am unable to find how to do so on youtube.
anyone know how?
-
Throw the bomb in CCRP and run for your life
-
You cant use the nukes in campaigns…nor can u use jassm and a couple of different jsows. There are a few reasons why that is; implementation and etc. however, you can use nukes in tactical engagement. As Trueno said, you can use ccrp or ccip if you are a trooper.
Does anyone know how to unlock those ‘red weapons’ in campaign? I understand why dev made them not available, but i just want to know if there is a way to unlock them in campaign.
Cheers

I cannot seem to get the nukes to arm, or release, in either ccrp or ccip. anyone know what causes that?
-
Hey guys! just for fun i decided drop one B 61 in Kunsan airbase. I think i will go to the martial court.
-
Nice test for your fps

To this day I cannot fathom why this weapons option was included in F4AF and F4 BMS.
Though I speculate that it’s possible for the F-16 to deliver such a weapon, I have no first-hand knowledge whether or not it was actually considered in the real world . . . I had no ‘need to know’ while I served in the AF.
I would also like to note that the only US military aircraft that could deliver nuclear weapons as far as their public statistics were concerned were multi-place aircraft (B-52, B-1, B-2, FB-111, F-15E, etc). Draw your own conclusions.

Well, its not hard to find public articles talking about how the F-16 is fitted to carry the B61-12 mod. Its more than actually considered, in other words.

Nice test for your fps
in fact my fps dropped a lot after the explosion! The photo is bad because of the resolution I use (1024 x 768), due to my monitor. My computer is not top, is a medium pc. Based on the system requirements described here on the site to play the falcon, my computer supports. But sometimes not.

No, the US has a long history of single seaters who are nuke capable; F86 Sabre, A4 Skyhawk, A1 Skyraider, F-101 Voodoo, F-105 Thunderchief to name a few. Weapons were usually described as Tactical Nuclear Weapons which means they only destroy about a square mile instead of 10’s of square miles but its still a nuke. Don’t forget the US also deployed a nuclear rocket to shoot down soviet bombers (AIR-2 Genie). This was also predominately carried by single seat aircraft.

So why all those real cockpit pics of the viper show a panel with nuclear consent then?
It’s a public secret Vipers can carry the B-61… -
I recall Keith Rosenkranz mentioning in Vipers In The Storm that he enjoyed the training for releasing nuclear weapons as it involved very strict timing; he enjoyed the challenge and precision. I believe at this point he was flying the F-16.

After a quick google found this article.

Note the patch, with the Viper and Panavia Tornado on it.
Be sure to also take a look at the FAS link in the comments.

The F-16A Block 10 could carry the B43, B57 ,B61 according to documentation.
In f-16 net there will be a few posts about it, they certainly trained for it in the USAF, the Viper was built to fly in a WW3 environment.

Initially the old NATO F-16A/B and Tornado PA-200 aircraft that currently serve in the nuclear strike mission will not be able to make use of the increased accuracy of the B61-12, according to U.S. Air Force officials. The reason is that the aircraft computers are not capable of “talking to” the new digital bomb. As a result, the guided tail kit on the B61-12 for Belgian, Dutch, German, Italian and Turkish F-16s and Tornados will initially be “locked” as a “dumb” bomb. Once these countries transition to the F-35 aircraft, however, the enhanced targeting capability will become operational also in these countries.

I’m sure they are prepared to do it if ordered. Had we had it in campaigns here it would make for one really fast campaign

Hmmm . . . you’re right Tiffy. I sit corrected.
I think that I was looking at it from a strategic point of view, namely the USAF’s Strategic Air Command and its Nuclear Surety Program. I flew for SAC back in the eighties, and that’s where my NSP training was concentrated.

May as well stick a button on the campaign setup screen called Launch Sub based Nuke attack - which is then followed by a splash screen that congratulates you for wiping out millions of innocents.
