Re: Aegean Theatre

Hi,
Sorry if you find this question trivial, but I really don’t know how to cure the issue I encounter every time I try to make a TE flying for Hellenic AF. What happens is that I always get an F-16 with Turkish markings. Any way to circumvent this? (No disrespect to either nation!)

tiaChange you AC skin …. just make sure it’s consistent with the model(s) that are loaded. You’ll need to find the .dds files for the skin you want. Once you have those they just drop into the appropriate objects folder in your install. Where that folder is exactly will vary a bit depending on how the theater installed. It should be something like:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Add_On_CUSTOMTHEATRENAME\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj
OR … maybe, it’s as simple as the using the ‘Change Skin’ button in the Load Out screen? … Have you tried that?

I mean I hate to ask an obvious question, but you’re changing to the Hellenic faction when adding the fight right?
I don’t know aircraft markings or BMS well enough to know if this would actually work, none of what -I- am doing in the Aegean theater has anything to do with the various factions….

Sure I have. Under Block 52 there are no HAF skins, Turkish only; perhaps I should try other blocks.
Thanks for the advice, anyway! And, ASharpe, yes, I did choose the Hellenic side.

Yeah like I said I have no idea if that would even make a difference in BMS.

Sorry, had to ask, just in case.
Yes, other blocks may work. I don’t have Aegean installed, so I can’t look and see what is or isn’t included.
Sill, if you can find a HAF skin for your block 52 model, that would also work as I described above.

In the Aegean theater, the only 2 F16 AC that have Hellenic markings in TE are:
In the pick list:
F16C Block 32
F16C 64AS/414CTS/NFWS(I have no idea what Block that is but it is supposedly an Aggressor skin)C9

CLoud 9 - that’s a most specific reply. Thank you very much, that solves the problem and I don’t mind flying a Block 32 F-16

No prob.

tiaHi there mate.
Well as correct said “Cloud 9” only the F-16 block 32 and by mistake Aggressors have HAF skins.
So in order to override the issue, just download this file by “JanHas” (213 MB): http://www.janhas.net/Files/BMS_Stopgap_v3.zip
and then go to the specific folder of block that you want to have a skin.
Included some great HAF skins and of course for block 52+ ;).

Nikos.Hi there. Been browsing through the different Threads and came up with this one. I’ve taken the liberty of downloading this Set of “Skins”. Hope that its no trouble. This Theater is GREAT!!!

No problems.
Just copy and overwrite the desired .dds files of the specific folder of the file “BMS_Stopgap_v3.zip” that you want a skin (e.g. for HAF F-16 block 52+) into here: …\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Add-On Aegean\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj.
Before do this, just backup the specific .dds files from the previous folder ;).
