4.34 F16 Flaps
-
When landing or taking off the flaps appear up? Hitting Shift + F12 or mapped keys dont seem to work or is it a visual issue? In 4.33 flaps would go down when you lowered your landing gear. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The F-16 flaps are controlled by the position of the landing gear handle. Any unexpected position of the flaps during takeoff and landing is due to excess speed, damage, or unusual positions of certain cockpit switches (and I can’t think of any that would keep flaps retracted).

Shift F12 is for what?
As Frederf points out, the LEFs and TEFs are scheduled by the FLCS automatically, there is no ‘flaps down’ control in the F-16. The TEFs deploy according to aircraft angle of attack, commanded roll rate, and whether or not the gear is down.
In BMS, I dont think its possible to pin the gear, but IRL you can pin the gear and raise the gear handle, the result being the gear extended and the flaperons (TEFs) fully raised, depending on commanded roll rate and angle of attack of course.

you can of course use the EXTEND switch which will lock TEF and LEF in the position they are
Performances will be degraded
