MOD F-18C custom 3dckpit file
-
hey there, i usually fly the hornet, but i don’t like the poor hud view, if you fly the hornet you will know what i’m talking about, specially in CCIP bombing, so i edited the 3dckpit file and i got the following results (see the images)
before you want to use this modded file you have to know that i got the results using a custom FOV (85º), i don’t know if Screen resolution will affect the results but you can try it.
First make a backup of the “3dckpit” file located in X: Falcon BMS 4.34\Data\Art\CkptArt\1799 and replace with this: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FV1StihGZ2pfSFX6jA_WCub8jipPRtzL
let me know your results
Edit: You have to look for the best sight by pressing the Wheel mouse and moving the mouse forward (see the screenshots, that’s because the nose is a little visible)

Can you post a screenshot?
And what FOV are you using? -
I use the default FOV in BMS configuration

I can’t see you screenshot, but that’s the problem, you have to set the FOV to 85°, you can do it by editing the falconbms.cfg, it’s located in falcon bms 4.34/user/config open it with Notepad and search for the next line: set g_fDefaultFOV 60 (change the 60 by 85 and save)

Don’t forget to make a Backup

Hi, even after your settings the result is still the same.
If you are flying a theatre other than Korea you may need to past into specific theatre folder.

I think that the values of the 3dckpit.dat file are not suitable for my screen resolution 2560x1440 p 144 Mhz, if you can tell me what value it is necessary to modify I will be able to make some tests.
Thank you.

This mod was tested by a friend that he is using a Acer Predator X35 3440 X 1440 p and it’s working perfectly, anyway I would like to see a video when you are in cockpit, i’m sure you are doing something bad

In fact what is problematic is the Track IR, because in my case when it is activated the zoom function with the mouse wheel does not work, I have to put the TR on pause for it to work.
