Flights Ending Immediately

Very frequently, I’ll be playing a campaign, and everything goes normally at first. Then, I’ll hit fly, the sim loads to 20% (the second of five bars), and then boots me back to the campaign screen with the debriefing. It says “mission still in progress”, but the flight is not available to pick from the frag order. What gives? I couldn’t find anything like this through a forum search. This happens on probably over half my campaign missions. Thanks for any help, guys/gals.

Thanks for the question. The same thing happened to me recently. I tried to frag a new flight a dozen of times without any luck.
Once my original flight disappeared, I was able to get in to the cockpit with another flight that was already fragged to take off later.

Seems random, cuz I 've not had the issue in my last 3 flights

check the status and percentage operation% of the runway. it it got bombed, it will not allow you to take off unless the runway is repaired back to usable. base OK threshold is roughly 50%. if it’s showing lower than that, it probably got OCA’d by the enemy air force.

to check what’s up with it right click on airbase ––> status and look at the runway components.

(maybe i’m underestimating your familiarity with the game, and if so i don’t mean offense)

This is probably what’s happening. I sure feel dumb. Oh well, thanks a ton! I’ll come back if it turns out that’s not the problem.

I’ve experienced this with the airbase at 100% and runways undamaged
