POH 0.8.1 for BMS 4.34 - Campaign Notes
-
As some of you guys might already be aware of, but most are probably not, 128 segment theaters (like POH and EMF) still have some issues with the current BMS code, which affect campaign playability.
With the current version of BMS, there’s an issue with the saved campaign files which prevents the user from loading a saved campaign file after exiting the map screen.
This issue was already identified and, hopefully, will be addressed in the next BMS update (many thanks to the BMS Dev team and, especially, to Falcas, for identifying and solving it :thumb:).
So, for now, there’s a very simple workaround for everyone that wants to enjoy the campaigns that come with POH (They’re still WIP, to be improved in the future).
For that, you just need to have the latest version of Mission Commander installed and follow these steps below:
Enjoy!

Very kind this add of yours, dear Nuno, and much appreciated as well.
With best regards.

Kindahave a problem communicating with Moroccan towers. Only in VHF.

There’s a Comms list included in the package, where you can consult all frequencies (ATIS, GND, APP, TWR). By now, and similarly as the previous version, the Moroccan airbases have only VHF frequencies. Still WIP, but, whenever possible, our dear friend Nikos will take care of that

For sure.

Hi Nuno
Although the steps you described are correct in order to load a saved campaign in 128seg theaters, however it will make things worse. I mean, if say Red team occupies a blue territory, then by deleting -in MC- the occupation map, you will delete as well the occupied territory by Red Team. This, in turn, will fcuk up the DC.

Hi Mystic.
Thanks for the heads up, I wasn’t aware of that, since I didn’t have much time to thoroughly test the campaigns. So I guess we’ll just have to wait for the Devs to come up with the final solution, then…
Cheers, mate! And thank you once again

Firstly, I’d like to thank all who contributed to the conversion of this awesome theatre to make it 4.34 compatible. A huge amount of work, to be sure…
Now, I read the warning suggesting that the installation of PoH should be made on a clean install of BMS; hence this question: does the PoH install in any way interfere with the stock BMS files, the DB in particular? If so, will uninstall reverse the changes? Thanks in advance, better safe than sorry, as someone said -

No, POH has its own DB independant from the other theaters including stock KTO. So you do not have to worry about changes on your other installs.
Installing or uninstalling only affects POH.

Thanks a million BlackWolf, proceeding to installation now…

Yes, I think the only core bms file that POH installer change is the theater list file to BMS knows were is POH theater.

Correct.

@Nuno:
Correct.
hi your mailbox is full!

Sorry, CCC.
Available again. -
This workaround only works for single player.
When you try to load a multiplayer campaign, only host can see the correct map with airbases but rest of the clients see the map empty. -

Was this Problem solved within the new patches U1-u4?

Yes, the files are saved correctly and you can resume cams or tacs.
The ocuppation map still does not work correctly, but that is a minor issue compared to that.
Hopefully soon you could check this on next POH release.
