So, I’ve had my sim going for a good while now, and the other week something strange started to happen. If I run BMS + MFDE – after an unknown time(could be 10 mins or 1hr+) my computer will just shutdown. No crash, no error, just complete shutdown. If I run BMS alone with no MFDE – it works fine for hours. Any idea what is causing this or how to fix it?

      Thanks!

That is very strange alright. I have also run MFDE with BMS for over a year and have not had that issue. I use the built in extractor for my MFD’s as MFDE is a bit flaky with those but I run all the gauges using MFDE. If not already doing that perhaps try that and see how it goes. If you use mods try taking them out one at a time, one of them may not play well with MFDE.

Other than that I’m sorry to have not been much help.

Perhaps a re-install maybe in order.

Re-install of BMS or of MFDE? What do you mean by flaky?

Flaky in that I found that sometimes the MFD’s would work fine and other times not at all. Also you would get flashes of the HUD in the MFD display every few minutes, which wasn’t too bad just another quirk which added to the flaky definition… 😉

I would try MFDE first since it is easier but if that fails to resolve the issue then re-install BMS.

Will do. It’s weird, because also if I’m in a dogfight with my friends, and I crash, they will all be in their own airspace fighting AI. MFDE I never have that problem, but sometimes some displays won’t show and I need to alt+Tab out and reset it.
