Thanks,
A shame that none of the pdf readers on my Android Tab, seem to be able to open this.
Has anyone else had this issue? -
This is a Godsend for people like me learning to fly the Viper. Thank you!

Try using Xodo. It’s what I use. I have no problems with it.

Has anyone else had this issue? This can happen when a pdf file is corrupted, where the solution is to try downloading it again. A way to test for this would be to connect the Tab to a PC and get the exact file that wouldn’t open onto the PC, and try opening it there. If it still doesn’t open, it was a file issue - delete the corrupted file, download the file again using the PC, then move this file to the tablet, and try again. If it’s not that, it could be the readers themselves. I also use Xodo, opens the guide just fine, so I don’t have any better suggestions on PDF apps, if that’s the case.

Thanks,
What I ended up doing, is d/l to PC, then transfer onto my tab.
Works great now.
I think it was an issue with how the file hosting site encodes stuff. -

Thanks,
I’m going to check that one out.
Just started using one called ReadEra (was drawn to it, as it does ebook formats as well). -

I think it was an issue with how the file hosting site encodes stuff.Great to hear! It’s a very common issue - some tablet/smart phone browsers have no issues, but when they do, they mess up every .PDF download. Just don’t do like I did, and DL a bunch of PDF’s to read on the plane, only to find out they are borked… the Sky Mall magazine is just not interesting enough for a 4 hour flight…
@Blue-Sky – finally found out the issue with submitted downloads on the VG website, and the thumbnail image… when a file is FIRST submitted, there is a field just above the file submission area for a screenshot (should submit image at 180x180 pixels, final image will be cropped back as much as 125x125, so a border or non-essential image space of ~55px on all margins would be advised, required size less than 1000kB). This image then becomes the thumbnail we see such as on the VG Home page near the bottom, and it cannot be added after-the-fact, or edited, either. Not sure it’s worth messing with now, but if you feel like it, we could try, and I’d be happy to help with the thumbnail image, if needed.
Definitely not necessary, just FYSA. Love that guide, I refer to it often (as opposed to the old Google method, which never guarantees correct answer).
