      Weather Commander has a feature for animation where it moves a weather map (fmap). If this map is loaded in a TE and saved without checking the Maps Auto Updated (and no maps in the WeatherMapsUpdates folder) will the map remain stationary during the TE or will it move as it was set up in the Weather Commander?

        In Weather Commander what is the length of a grid block in nautical miles and is the speed of the animation in Hours/Minutes or Minutes/Seconds?

        Edit: Watched animation spin to 24. Animation is hours/minutes.

          @jc1:

          In Weather Commander what is the length of a grid block in nautical miles

          A degree of longitude is widest at the equator with a distance of 69.172 miles (111.321 kilometers). The distance gradually shrinks to zero as they meet at the poles. At 40 degrees north or south, the distance between a degree of longitude is 53 miles.

          So, with approximately 5 grid blocks showing between each degree of longitude, you could likely assume each grid block represents 10.6 miles (53/5) East - West.

          Regarding latitude, this remains a near constant between degrees, at ~69 miles. Grid blocks in North - South orientation are approximately 6.5 between degrees so, 10.6 miles (69/6.5) North - South

          So, assume 9.2 nautical miles

            Korea KTO has 64x64 Segment.
            A Segment (a block in WC) has 16 x 16 tiles.
            A tile is 1km x 1km square.

            Therefore each length of those blocks are
            16000m = 8.6nm
