G940 and Throttle Axis
-
Hey everyone,
I am wondering about those who have G940’s and if you have had issues with the throttle axis/MPAD? I have mapped the keystrokes using the profiler with no joy. FBMS does not see them at all. Everything I have tried does not seem to work. I think that FBMS needs either more axis points to recognize or at least see all of the functions on the G940 throttle. Anyone with a workaround? It sucks if I have to edit the keystroke files for this (I don’t know which file would need changing). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is a limit to how many buttons and axis that are recognized in BMS per device.
I thinks it’s 32 buttons and 8 axis. So if the joystick & throttle has more, not all will be recognized.
A workaround for the buttons is to have the stick software to emulate a keyboard and do the assignments in the stick software.
I’ve had similar problem when I used my saitek x65.
The axis are more complicated, it was possible to reassign axis in registry files, so I could choose what axes BMS could se.
There were some tutorials on the web how to do it ( I made my micro stick work like axis on my x52 throttle.)Or do you mean that your throttle isn’t recognized at all? When in BMS setup and you press any button you won’t see ie button 5 under the list of assignments?
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. The throttle is recognized, but the POV axis (on the side of the throttle) and the MPAD are not recognized. I assign keystrokes to them in the profiler but nothing happens. Funny thing is I had it working before. Had to reinstall windows
Got everything running good except this. I posted about all of this a while ago. I mapped my G940 through the profiler and everything worked. Now, nothing. I don’t know what I did before, other than map the keys through the profiler. I hope there will be more axis/MPADs or better recognition with all of the HOTAS functions in the future.

I am SUCH AN IDIOT!!! (as I’m sure all of you know by now)
When I re-installed all of my stuff I FORGOT TO SWITCH THE “PERSISTENT PROFILE” to “ON” in the Logitech profiler. Args!
