Full.key vs Pitbuilder.key files
I just spent the whole day trying to catch up with 4.33 changes and also tackled the different .key files. I looked at the Full.key and the Pitbuilder.key files. At first, I noticed that the Pitbuilder was missing the toggle and step up/step down callbacks. Fair enough. Then further down, I noticed things like nightvision and smoke were not mapped, and so was the HUD color cycle, drag chute, etc. The Full.key file had keys for the catapult while on the Pitbuilder, it was unmapped! What, just because we’ve built a pit, we don’t want to do carrier ops?
Further down, the 6.02 Shortcuts section was not present, nothing for the extra MFDs, nothing for WinAmp (what? what can you do with winamp??), and was even missing a good number of comms (AWACS, ATC, tanker, etc.)
I would just like to know why this is so? Will the Pitbuilder.key file still be able to issue comms to ATC even without the callbacks? Apparently so, so I guess this wasn’t needed on the .key file, but then why is it included in the Full.key file?
