Beautifully produced! Do your graphics look like that real time or is that just due to your editing? If the former, how are you able to get such beautiful color? Thank you!
First of all Iām not sure what kind of computer you have, but in order to enjoy all of the eyecandy graphics in BMS with steady FPS in 4K resolution you still have to have high-end gaming PC.
My Rig:
- i9 9900K
- GTX 2080Ti
- 32 GB Ram
- 512 Gb SSD and 4 TB HDD
- 55" 4K TV and 27" FullHD Monitor
With that PC I have steady 120 FPS in 4k res.
Here is my config settings:Now, in the video i used only two things to enhanced the footage a little bit, but those effects can be easliy reproduced by using Reshade.

Thanks to all of you for your positive replies! This really means a lot for me.
I still canāt believe that only in 24 hours the video has reached 1K views with 100 likes! Amazing.Iāve started working on the movie back in november 2019 and recorded 1 TB of footage. Took me a while to segregate all of it and to find the best ones - but it was worth it.

Stunning video! Did a smaller scale music video project once, and can seriously appreciate what must have gone into something of this scale!!!
Also, thanks for the detailed reply above with the before/after shots, and the note about your system specs. 2080Ti is a helluva card!! Been seeing people asking about those things all over, will direct them to your post. Itās good to know that itās not a complete waste of money to go for the top end tech when you can see performance like that and Iām just thrilled to hear that youāre able to get BMS in 4K at 120FPS! What we see here now will be lowered to the more affordable class tech as we move forward in the 2020ās, so Iām looking forward to moving up to the 4K arena once itās below the enthusiast budget category, and itās great to know PCās can push 4K at very high FPS given proper setup.
Cheers!
(p.s. with a rig that awesome, even given the number of transitions/fx/etc. in your Vegas project, how long did it take to render that video? Just curious how blazing fast that CPU and GFX card can rip through a detailed cinematic vid like that from start to renderedā¦ )

Great video, and thanks for sharing the ReShade settings!

Thatās a good question. In my older rig i7 4770k and gtx 970 I usually render 3 min video - 4K res - in 2-3 hours. (Depend how many effects were there) Nowā¦ā¦10 -15 min! Besides that, non stop crashing and freezing when editing or rendering, but now smooth as silk.

Feel free to post it - or anyone else. I dont use reddit lately, not much fun of it as well.

Done, thanx!

What got me was the music and your astute editing of it vis-a-vis the visualsā¦hook-lined-&-sinked me. Bravo.

Awesome! official TVT ?

I love the departure sequence. Only an experienced pilot knows that deploying gear will deploy TEF which in combination with speed brake deployment will accelerate the recovery (in case no yaw rate build up and large oscillation still , see TP1538 NASA page 28 ) GREAT job pilot , you saved an airframe , MPO would have been too slow

how did you get reshade working for you? iāve tried installing it on the bin folder to no avail, can you help me?
Ps: i might be asking to much but can you share your reshade preset? -

Ps: i might be asking to much but can you share your reshade preset? The pictures presenting effects before and after in previous post are taken from sony vegas studio and the last time I used reshade was couple years ago on my older rig and WIN 7 and older BMS version.
However, after reading your post I decided to give it another try today, but it seems like new reshade 4.5.4 doesnāt support BMS for some reason (or something wrong on my end) - It runs just fine in Il-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad though.
Maybe older version of reshade (if still available) would still works in BMS. -

Current reshade works with current BMS. You have to untick the āDisable fullscreen optimizationsā then tick āOverride high DPI scalingā and choose Application in the āChange high DPI settingsā menu on the Compatibility tab of the shortcut.
On that note, I found that my issues with my colors and how washed out they appeared on my 4k HDR TV were not due to anything GPU, display, or BMS related, but instead due to the native handling of HDR in Windows. BMS isnāt compatible with it and thatās what was washing out my color, giving me light gray cockpits, and causing overly bright nights. Turned off the HDR setting in Windows and my BMS now looks fantastic on my display with no reshade needed .

How did you deactivate HDR?

Windows 10? Right click desktop, click display settings, turn off āPlay HDR games and appsā about half way down the settings screen.

.Iāve tried the trick with āDisable fullscreen optimizationsā and āChange high DPI settingsā but still no joy. The overlay of reshade is not visible in BMS UI neither in 3D.
