Why don't enemy aircraft use chaff and flairs?

Whenever I engage with enemy aircraft, they never seem to use chaff and flairs. Is this a problem on my end or has this not been implemented yet as of BMS 4.32 update 8?

Well, if I so much as lock up a hostile, they pop chaff and flares. Send a missile their way and you see chaff and flares galore.
Are they definitely aware of your presence?

Not all aircraft have dispenser, most of old DPRK AC do not have…

Ive been doing that in Molnis theater, although not by choice. Sometimes when I get into the sim, for some reason it refuses to lock, and it seems like its getting TMS down inputs constantly - but in the setup menu, it is not. Darndest thing.

I was just being dumb, and always locking with radar and then uncaging to verify target. Now I just uncage and my heaters have gotten much more effective.

I personally like the range indicators, to be honest. True, the DLZ is not very accurate - but its a better indicator than the Mk.1 in my opinion.
I do like to get a range indicator before launching. Of course, they wont stay locked, Ill lock them briefly, then drop it before launching.

I personally like the range indicators, to be honest. True, the DLZ is not very accurate - but its a better indicator than the Mk.1 in my opinion.
I do like to get a range indicator before launching. Of course, they wont stay locked, Ill lock them briefly, then drop it before launching.
I just wait to pop one off until I am at point blank range and I am sure they are in range. The range on the AIM-9X’s always surprises me with how long it is.

Frankly, while I understand that frustration, everyone turning every ‘wtf’ moment around here into a ‘lets bash Gyro’ post is becoming an equally tired old joke.

Not to mention that “bashing” anyone is contrary to forum rules. I think we have been lucky that no one has been given a short vacation because of dear Gyro.

Maybe they’re out of flare/chaff? Are you the first engagement the enemy AC has been in?

this is similar to what happens in the mirage 5 afaik - try doing ctrl+alt+f4 or shift+alt+f4 (i know it sounds like i might be trolling you, but i swear this works). I might have the specific key combination wrong, but theres its definately something like that… perhaps someone else can shed more light on it.

For me, Shift + Alt + F3 is assigned to the MAL and IND test button. You know, the one that cycles the VMU messages.
Its just weird, its only done it the twice and other than those times, things have been fine… -

Are you carrying the HTS by any chance? I found this when I carry the HTS and forget to power on the pylon (maybe there are some other cases as well)
