New carrier group
-
This is a wch file edit. I didn’t bother to add a name to wch file for test.
This will be part of complete walkthrough I make. But in the meantime just extract wch file with MC, add name of new carrier, then import file with MC. I also do this with old school “theater tools” but MC has a good export/import for these files. -
No need to exp/imp Objective names and Strings.
Better to edit them directly in MC. Much easier and safer.EDIT: but do this only when you have the te_new.tac loaded.
If you edit/add/remove or shuffel names, the pointers in the Objectives will be adjusted automatically.
and so the te_new.tac need to be saved.
These changes to the Objs can later be passed along to the camp saveX files.Gr Falcas

big thanks Falcas!
MC is great - i can edit obj name in [obj string] page, change one carrier saratoga to new name.
and i can start on the deck in TE!the only bug left is - my new carrier [spot time], shows 46. 19:28:27.
i edit it to 1. 0:0:0, but turns back to 46. 19:28:27. it cannot be changed and saved. -
add second new carrier to DB - success!
the spot time remains 46. 19:28:27. but it works in TE.
another MC issue - in ILS edit page, my new carrier name slots are blank…it should show “carrier XXXX”.
[edit]
-
i can save obj string now - press correct [save] button do the job.
-
in station ILS page, i still can not have my new carrier obj name show up in the list.
double click on default carrier WASP, the left upper corner CampID 14035, there is a “carrier wasp” name under it. but in my blank carrier item, no name under its CampID 14040.
so… CampID name not edited in some file?
BTW open my new carrier in obj page, when press [station+ILS] button, MC crash to desktop… seems unable to recognize it.

Make sure correct carrier objective camp ID is there.
This should change name showing in stationils page to what you named it with the editor earlier. -
If you open the stationils page from button on objective details page and the objective campID is not in stationils file, you will get that crash warning screen. Just hit continue, check your numbers, and add number in screen under stationils tab instead of trying to add it through the button in objectives details. Then it will be fine. Now you can open it through the objective details ‘s button since there is correct campID to check in stationils file.
You can also just type campID into file as shown at bottom of above pic.

big thanks! i just missed those camID numbers in obj page , now the whole process is done.
also thanks to RUSHER0600’s BMS 4.34 ATC Frequency Generator… big saver!

Yes that program will help me much!
I checked some ils file I tried to fix with emf terrain editor station ils checker , and I was shown a list of my errors a mile long!(conflicts and more)
I tested this one from Rusher0600 only once, but I will become more familiar with it soon. -
Recorded a video of full process of adding a carrier group. Used a kittyhawk from ccc1tw toy box.
Video is on first post of this thread. -
Glad you’ve mastered it - have fun with toys!
