F-14D Jolly Rogers Skin VF-103
-
Hello everybody!
There was a request for the F-14D Jolly Rogers Skin. I decided to take the challenge.
I’m not a professional Photoshop artist, but tried to do the best I could to resemble the original Jolly Rogers Skin, looking a lot of pictures. There may be some errors, please feel free to post them so that I can fix them.
Features
I made the weathering, oil marks, added some dust, scratches and some effects, and some other tweaks.

Very nice work there, mate!
Congratulations and thank you for sharing. -
Problem VF-84 and VF-103 never flew F-14Ds, so there is not historic reference other than to F-14s in general. VF-84 flew F-14As until the end, and VF-103 had F-14Bs until it transferred to Superbugs. Just use it on the B model and you’re good.
Nice work on the requested skin!

That’s correct. Nevertheless, Chuckles wanted this skin on the F-14D, as a fictional Skin.
Maybe adapting this skin to the F-14B won’t be so hard, just update the panel lines, correct?

Great work Blackhawk. Can’t wait to dogfight Chinese Su-33 in Korea 2012 while wearing your skin.

Molni,
slight correction on your post: My pack does indeed contain multiple Jolly Rogers Tomcats ('79, '80, '97, '02, '04) in low- and hi-viz derivations such as this one from 2002:
All of which assigned to the respective A/B variants of the F-14.
However, the screenshots you posted depict the stock BMS F-14B Tomcat skin by HRenner. Obviously a skin of the highest quality and accuracy resembling one of the ‘LAST TOMCAT CRUISE’ Jolly Rogers Cats during the 2004/2005 deployment. Bureau Number 163217 used the AA103 Modex throughout the 2000s until the squadron was disestablished. I have this bird included in my pack in different years. The one I posted is BuNo 162918 which was the Boss Bird (callsign ‘Victory 100’) until disestablishment. On a very unusual occasion in 2002 this Boss Bird actually wore low-visibility colors on the GW cruise as seen here (screenshot from FF):

@ Blackhawk:
Great job on the skin! Reminds me of my first attempts just about 8 years back. I see you stumble across the same problems with the way the drop tank textures are wrapped around the tankmodel
Keep doin’!
