Is there any way for me to bind the look up/down and left/right axes to specific analog axes on my controller (the relative axes of a VKB MCG)? I’m not in the position to purchase track ir right now and I use this setup in DCS to get finer control than using the POV hat. In the “view” tab of the axes configuration menu I can only bind axes for zoom and fov adjustment. I apologize if I’m missing something obvious.

      Thanks in advance.

        1. You could build a IR based head Tracker for around 10€ (that’s what I paid for mine) 6€ for a PS3 eye cam 1.5€ for IR Lenses 1.5 for cables

        2. TrackIR itself is IMHO way overpriced. If someone doesn’t want to build on his own I would recommend to buy a Delanclip set instead of TrackIR

        3. Have a look on Opentrack and/or Facetracknoir software which allow to bind various inputs to output TrackIR protocol which is recognized by BMS

        4. If you have a smartphone with a gyro sensor (most smartphones have one) you could use Opentrack in combination to have a 3DOF headtracker

          1. in Opentrack select Jostick as Input
          2. click the edit/Configure
          3. select your HOTAS from the Device list
          4. Map your HOTAS axis to the TrackIR/OpenTrack Axis

Thank you, using opentrack works. I will also consider the DIY tracking, but for now this works.

I got the Delanclip and OpenTrack . . . Has worked great in BMS for me (And FSX as well for that matter). I definitely give it a good recommend
