JanJan VA plugin for BMS is capable to performing not only all the radio command, you can say e.g. “viper 1 request picture” or simple “request picture” however it also controls the cockpit functionality.
However, it can also read some of the live game data which enables it to perform various other tasks. This, not only improved response time but enables for various complex commands, e.g. you can:

This plugin uses your OWN keyfile so you can keep all your current keystrokes.
It will read your keyfile and add all keystrokes for all the unassigned callbacks. You can see an early demonstration here:
Currently it supports the following theaters: Israel, Korea KTO, Kuwait, Balkans & NTO Polar Vortex. By support I mean command like:
Say nearest runway
Say directions to Ovda runway
Com 1 Ovda approach
Com 1 Ramon towerYou no longer need to search for phrased with the new Phrase From
You can also filter for specific words.Dynamically search ALL the available phrases:
Setting ILS frequencies has never been easier with this enhancement:
It requires a full version of VoiceAttack

That’s really impressive! I was going to comment that I had created a VA cold-start sequence, inspired by the cold-start in 3 sweeps from the Training Manual, but when I watched your video, I realised you have gone a whole lot further than I ever did.
I have sent you a friend request on Discord.
-
Thing is he learned how to interface with BMS and read and react to data from BMS, instead of just doing just timed sequences
-
In addition VoiceAttack is used to send the phrase to the plugin which takes care of analyzing the phrases and pressing all the keys.
I found that letting the plugin ‘press’ all the keys is much more efficient. No need to go back and forth.
The profile therefore has only 4 spoken commands + 2-3 setup command -
I am impressed but for a different reason. How did you mange to make VA to understand you so well? For me, it understands “remove chocks”, but it does not understand “install chocks” for example. “remove safety EPU pin” would be too much to ask for and it never gets recognized … as well as a lot of other “normal” menu commands

From VA Manual –
- Your Windows Speech Recognition Engine needs to be trained up. Again, not an
absolute requirement, however, the difference between a trained and untrained system
is like night and day.
Hint: Start in Control Panel… I ran the trainer three times in a row & now recognition
works great!
…
Usually recognition issues are resolved by training up the recognition engine (completely through, three times). In addition to that, you can train a specific word after that, if it is giving you trouble. I used to have a seriously hard time getting my VA to recognize “8” or “eight”, so I opened the VA Options, to the Recognition tab, and the small menu there for Utilities > Add/Remove Dictionary Words. Select ‘record pronunciation’ when finished, to record your actual speech for this word.
When you are done, you can save your WSR profile so you never have to do it again (unless your voice or mic changes enough to be different) - helpful for swapping to a new computer, too…

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the Profile backup tool!
I agree - the key is to train you speech engine.
I did it several times and after replacing my mic I did it a few more times.Do you know if you can reset the speech recognition DB? I would have liked to do that after I got a new microphone.

Once you have started WSR for the first time, you’ll likely have one WSR Profile - this cannot be deleted, it has to have at least one. IIRC you can make another one, and delete the previous one, or just leave the new one as the selected WSR profile.
Find these in the Control Panel\Ease of Access\Speech Recognition under the ‘Advanced speech options’ on the left.

I added a command which now reads your keyfile and adds keybinding to all the unbound callbacks
-
This is impressive ! Thank you for sharing your work.

Great job man! This thing is gonna be so very useful!!!

Wow! I just watched your video and that looks really cool!
Even the “little” things, like freezing the sim, or show/hide pilot, would be so handy to do with voice commands.
When I was watching/hearing you issue those voice commands, the words “think in Russian” kept going through my head. I feel like I’m going to stride calmly to my BMS Viper through the chaos of a bombed hangar and climb up the boarding ladder in my black flight suit and black helmet. Ramp start real quick and taxi out before they can close the hangar door.
Thanks for working on this!
