I have downloaded a navigation exercise which contains a .tac file. Can a forum member please tell me where this .tac file should be placed in Falcon 4.32 BMS so that I can undertake this navigation test?

As part of my training schedule I should like to practice flying in formation - I am surprised that the BMS training program, which covers almost every aspect of Falcon operations, does not have an training session devoted to flying in formation with AI aircraft. Can a member explain how I can set up a cross country flight with AI so that I can practice formation t/o, climb, cruise and RTB? When joining a virtual squadron for the first time one really does not wish to be embarrassed by collisions, see sawing up and down or overtaking/being left far behind one’s squadron instructor or the rest of one’s flight.

I look forward to constructive replies.

        Welcome aboard Mate!
The .tac file will go into your C:/Falcon BMS 4.32/Data/Campaign/SAVE folder. You’ll then see it under the saved tab in game.
As for formation flying… just try selecting any TE… that has at least 2 aircraft… take the wingman (#2) position… and practice by keeping close to your lead

        Echo… echo… echo…
        LOL Blu 😉

well, Im happy to do practice formation flights.

Doing so alone, you can just create a TE with an F-16 flight in it, label it training, and fly as the wingman in it. The lead will takeoff, fly the waypoints, and land again.

place the .tac file you have in your C:\Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Campaign\SAVE folder.

Another option, build a TE with a tanker flying a nice long track.
He will not make the radical turns that an AI F-16 will and it will be good practice for when you want to learn to refuel 😉

This is excellent advise to start with. Also, practice getting into the refueling position with the tanker.

BTW I got 2 aerial refuling videos in my you tube channel linked in my sig, Im no expert but you can see how its down for reference.

              GOTS…

                    Hi there.
Well all the previous guys have point you with the path in order to put the .tac file, but they forgot a critical detail to told you:
Be sure for which theater this training file (.tac file) is, means the previous path is ONLY for Korea theater.
For other extra theaters the path is different ;).
                    Nikos.
