No planes show up on radar

Hello, I’ve just installed BMS 4.34 and loaded 3 patches. I have watched a few of the air to air training vids on you tube and tried a few instant action games. I never get any of the enemy or friendly planes showing up on the radar to lock on to. I have tried different ranges from 10 to 80 etc but that doesn’t work. I have noticed that the two altitude numbers next to the cursor are always red and not blue and white as they are in the you tube vids. I even tried a reinstall thinking it was a glitch but that didn’t work. I’m probably missing something obvious being a complete noob …. can anyone help please?

Have you tried moving the radar elevation to focus the radar beam at the altitude the contacts are?

Radar antenna elevation problem, very likely. Your radar beam is so directed that it scans too low to capture the planes in your airspace.
