TWS RWS etc keystroke
-
Is there a key for RWS TWS etc cycleing? I can not find one sorry.
BTW Some alternate cockpits (for example default Tomcat) does not have clickable buttons around HSDs. Even if I start with HSD on, my FCR screen disappear after switching to MRM mode or DF mode…no big problem while in Viper, but if pit is not clickable, I dont know howto turn ON FCR for various battle modes.
Thanks in advance. -
For RWS TWS cycling : TMS-right held 0.5s with FCR as SOI.
For the “alternate cockpits” : except the M2000, I dont think any stock ones are remotely playable except to fly around.
For the MRM or Dogfight issue, where your FCR disappear : in the DTC windows in the UI, tab “Modes”, set FCR in the MFD1 (left) in one of the slots, and put said slot as the current.

Thanks. I did not try to hold the key for 0,5 sec before - now it works thanks.
Alternate pits can be ok, if at least MFD itself is clickable. For example F-15 pit has no clickable buttons around one of MFDs, but MFD itself clickable is - so it is great and usefull.

sorry, I have no clue what DTC window is….btw I used to change SOI via ctr+backslash (or shift ctrl+/) or something in the past (can not find it now too)

(…)Geez… Thanks, I didn’t know that, always switched between the two modes via the PB… TMS is so much more convenient
-
To change SOI : DMS-down. For all the HOTAS commandand what they do, go to your install folder, Docs->Falcon BMS Manuals->BMS-Dash-1, sidestick and throttle pages
To set the Data Cartridge (DTC), go in a TE or a campaign and locate the “DTC” button on the right of the map. There you can program :
- your counter measures programs (more info in BMS-Dash-1, CMDS panel)
- your MFDs in all master modes
- your radio frequencies. I advise not to touch preset 1 through 14, use 15 and more to set tower freq.

That’s what the docs are for
BTW, do you know how to put the TGP in AREA mode only, not POINT ? Or to change TGP IR polarity ?
-
Isn’t the AREA mode the default mode when you switch your FCR to Ground Stabilized? I haven’t done any precision ground attack for quite some time now…
-
Nope. When the FCR is ground stabilized, the TGP look at the cursor’s position, but is not stabilized. TMS-right to go AREA, TMS-up to go POINT if possible, AREA if not. And TMS left to switch IR polarity, TMS left *2 in less than 0.5 to switch between IR and TV.

Hehe… those are certainly not the only pieces of information I’m missing…
I’m just a casual player, largely due to serious hardware limitations; besides I prefer to devote the time I have to spend on the sim to flying rather than RTFM…
But any info and any opportunity to learn something new are most welcome and always appreciated. Thanks again.

datacartridge reprogramed….now I can finally fly Tomcat in another mode than dogfight only…
radar screen is even better readable compared to Viper pit :headb:

Arf… IMHO, no PC sim can make sb experience what a Tomcat crew had… because there is no practical way to have a 2 man team sharing all the AC data (avionics, etc…) in MP. Except in LAN, maybe.

No, Id say that you cant do it with say teamviewer, sharing basically video - but you can share avionics data as easily as position data.
Now, whether BMS can do that, is another kettle of fish entirely.
