      Hi All

      Fully understand the F-16 is a military aircraft not a Cirrus SR22:-) V speeds would be handy on HUD.

      In real life I’m guessing the pilot has that information on knee board?

            In the real jet the pilot has the ability to select a reference speed with the little green triangle in his Machmeter in the centre console, this is done via the rotary dial on the bottom right of the instrument. However, this is not implemented in BMS, yet.

              MFDE satrted with this and YAME does as well. Very useful but not quite for Vrefs IMHO, I personally use it for 360/420/480 kts which gives me a reference for formation flying

                  I guess it would depend on which V-speeds you’re talking about. The complete list is very long.

                  VR TOLD card
                  V2 N/A
                  V3 N/A
                  V4 N/A
                  VA I don’t know if there’s a specific number but I’m curious what’s recommended. It’s kinda corner speed by the book definition. For weather purposes it’s lower of 300kt or optimum cruise. Would just be memorized.

                  Vat There is an approach speed based on GW as a backup reference to AOA. Pilots would know this by heart.
                  VB VC I don’t think it applies
                  VD engineer stuff
                  VDF engineer stuff
                  VEF N/A
                  VF engineer stuff
                  Ok a lot of these are engineering
                  VY is probably not going to be in a pilot’s mind but it should be best glide theoretically (200kt plus weight)
                  VX hehe

                      Be nice in a future update perhaps (if it could be done) but very happy with 4.35

                        Speed are in pilot mind (known by heart) or is optained from a formula (approach speed to validate AOA reading)
                        Only speed that is needed is the rejection speed and rotation speed attakeoff, … and that is all. Approach speed and gliding speed is to be calculated at actual weight or can be replaced (in normal cases) by an AOA reading.

                        Last word: jet pilots usually do not fly an airspeed, but an AOA except at takeoff and if/when AOA indicator is unreliable.

                        C.f. Exactly what Federf wrote above.

                        No need to compare with commercial aviation. Again, jet fighters are flown through AOA.
