Extracting data contained in debrief.txt in order to feed stats data
-
Hello,
Just a faint thought for now, but I’m thinking about making a tool that would extract the latest flight record of debrief.txt, and extract the information contained therein in order to feed statistical data about one’s involvement in a campaign.
Like number of sorties, type and amount of weapons used, A/A/, A/G-kills, deaths, flight hours, …
Different players could contribute to feed a common stats database for a given campaign for example.
Questions:- What do you think about it? Would you see any use for it? Thinking multiplayer campaigns.
- Do you know any similar tool and/or component in the community that has tried to do a similar thing and which i could use as a starting point for code, as an extension or simply as an inspiration?
- To start i will have to write a parser for debrief.txt. Does anyone have code to share?

Dear Logic,
deeply sorry because I’m not an expert, so I can’t help you with at all, but even to me this new project of yours seems great.
I will follow its progress very close.
Have a nice day and stay always safe, most of all.
With best regards.
