"Stuck" throttle pinky button
-
Good Day, All,
I would greatly appreciate some help. Today I was working with the Alternate launcher and Voice Attack, rearranging my HOTAS layout. I noticed DX shift pinky ( mapped to throttle pinky) wasn’t working properly. When I went into the UI/Settings/Controllers I saw that the throttle button 7(the pinky) was “stuck on”, and I can’t get it to “unstick”!. I don’t use TARGET
Here’s what I’ve tried so far…- restarted my pc and unplugged and re-plugged throttle
- removed all commands off that switch
- turned off Voice Attack
- deleted the Alternate launcher and redownloaded it
- downloaded the newest drivers
- I happen to have some Warthog parts, and I replaced the entire left throttle assy.
BTW, and perhaps part of the mystery. Both tonight, and last night, while flying Multiplayer, my cursor froze and wouldn’t un freeze

Does the button stick in Windows looking at it thought joy.cpl or any similar DirectX diagnostic viewer?

Hi, Frederf, Yes, I have RS Mapper installed( btw, I wasn’t using it when the problem started), and it shows button 7 as pressed even when not pressed.
Update: I just looked in Win 10 Game controllers- it shows the throttles button 7 and 25 as “stuck on” . Also, , when I press the throttle pinky, it shows up as Button 15. -
Well, this has been educational- It turns out button 7 is my airbrake full forward posit. And , 25 is the throttle based switch I have Launch Bar-Retracted to. When I turn those switches off, then the Game Controller “stuck” indications went out. I had to slap my head with that one. ;).
This has got me thinking that the issue may be in AL. Perhaps my DX Pinky shift got corrupted? -
By default TARGET assigns numbers to buttons unless explicitly told to be something else (or 0 null output).

It appears to be fixed, possible corrupted DX Pinky callback

Thanks for the update! I have noticed a similar issue with stuck “pinky” functions in BMS. For instance, I have seat up / down mapped to a pinky combo on my TM MFD rocker switch (MFD2, bottom left rocker) and ever so often when I press the shifted combo too long it will auto repeat even after having released the shifted button combo.
Pressing the shifted button again usually fixes the issue and it never happens when I press the combo only in “short bursts” (for lack of a better term).
All the best,
Uwe

On my (stock) Warthog up position is DX25 (labeled Radar Alt to NORM), down is Null (I use it for Laser On\OFF (release) with Alt Launcher).
